The engineers from Ford US said they used L mode exclusively on Fiesta for thousand of miles and no problem so far.

when going up/down a steep hill. otherwise, just use D. sprinting in L feels tak syiok.. like the engine is strained too hard.

use L mode to feel the power and pickup, probably during a street race or adrenalin rush hour...
not recommended for uphill or downhill, the hill assist button is better
fyi, our L mode is totally different concept from others such as Proton or Perodua L mode

but there's too much engine braking once u let go of the throttle in L mode. so if wanna race, really need to floor the pedal all the way, dont lift ur foot at all. if not steep gradient, hill assist is better. but if steep gradient, or going down genting, L mode is better.

nope, L is not applicable when u going down from genting, as the L for fofi is lowest gear available, not lowest gear as normal cars, as one of the fofi owners uncle farid reaches 180km/h with L, when going uphill or downhill oni used hill assist button

But using hill asist when going down a steep hill is not helpful, as it only disables final gear, and stays in slightly higher revs in each gear. I go down a very steep hill everyday when coming back from work, and i found L is helpful, pretty much like engine braking. I can go down the hill with minimal braking compared to other gears.

No L mode for manual. You control the gear manually.

Sort of.... Becoz even though the torque is 300NM but due to heavy chassis, the acceleration is just ok. Been told that the Mondeo used hydraulic for power steering instead of EPS... The audio system also quite bad even though the NVH for this car is good.
