test drove the fiesta 1.6S today... neat lil thing. engine packed a punch while the gearchanges were slick and almost seamless. body roll was minimal during hard cornering and it still absorbed bumps well. how did they achieve this?? ohmy.gif

But using hill asist when going down a steep hill is not helpful, as it only disables final gear, and stays in slightly higher revs in each gear. I go down a very steep hill everyday when coming back from work, and i found L is helpful, pretty much like engine braking. I can go down the hill with minimal braking compared to other gears.

Tried this when going down the Klang Parade carpark (attended a function there). On L, your RPM will hover around the 4k range and speed is capped at somewhere slightly above 20km/h (if I recalled correctly). But then, even when driving on L, I can't go past slightly over 20km/h on leveled roads.

Might have to watch out for cars accumulating behind you though if it's a single lane direction (like Cameron Highlands).

u can actually go beyond 20kmh. just slam the pedal harder. it will change gear around 6000rpm. like some said, good until 180kmh.

My driving style is more towards milking as many kilometer per litre as possible in the most efficient manner. That's why I don't press the pedal harder than what is required. And I'm not sure if it will place unnecessary stress to the engine if the pedal was being pressed hard constantly on L.

Barely a day after test driving, I've booked the car. Would've done it sooner if the SA answered the phone later yesterday~ blush.gif

Well, tracking my KM/liter is like a game to me. Always trying to beat or equal my historical stats. I have an obsession over this kind of stuff.

Unfortunately for the past 4 weeks it has been raining like nobody's business. So many traffic jams because of waterlogged roads during peak hours (everyone suddenly slows down and causes a backlog of cars, lorries and buses). Even my FC for Shell has taken a hit; should be around 16+ km/l but now it's 15+ km/l. That's back to like Esso standards. But then, on a like-for-like basis, I might be hitting only 14+ km/l on Esso under the same traffic conditions.

petrol indication and consumption is at the meter. there's a button on the left signal to swap between the option.

Just took my Fiesta to Malacca. What a bad experience... While on the highway, got some small stones hit my car and now, there's some paint chipped off the front and just a slight chip on the windscreen. Any help?

I heard some repair shops can do repairs on minor chips for windscreen... for paint I guess you could use those lil touch-up paint bottles. I forgot the brand, I remember one of the Fiesta Club members mentioning it. Sorry me not really much help >_<

Does anybody know what is the exact function of the "M" button on the steering of Ford Fiesta?

When I press it, it changes to the next preset radio station, but only up the the 3rd preset. Pressing it when I'm at the 3rd preset will not change the radio to the 4th preset. Instead, it will restart with the 1st preset.

1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 1 -> 2 ...

If I'm at the 4th preset already (by directly pressing the "4" button), I can continuously hit "M" to change all the way to the "0" preset. Another press will change the radio to the 1st preset.

4 -> 5 -> 6 -> 7 -> 8 -> 9 -> 0 -> 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 1 ...
