Haha don't need la, in D mode the transmission is programmed to upshift at around 2k rpm, if u hold it a little longer it can go to 3k++ .. Must adjust driving style if u are coming from petrol, tired of revving the nuts out of petrol but still going no where
i know its a different feeling.it feels like a supercharger.
whenever you floor it, it just pulls.
tried petrol na and turbo, it always demands 4000k before anything happens.

Very true. i step 30% of the gas in each increment. I notice totally flooring it, the pull effect is not as good compared to 30% increment flooring.
I keep my rev to around 2-3k also. Should play with the S mode and rev it to 2.8k then shift, really fun.

Loving the Fofi a lot, a very "calm" car to drive, doesn't feel like driving a small hatchback
I think Ford is the only user of Getrag's DCT, including Fiesta.
perhaps others will use it since ford is a large group of other brands.Loving the Fofi a lot, a very "calm" car to drive, doesn't feel like driving a small hatchback

I went to test the TDCI before and a while after that I went to test the 328i and 320d. Imagine TDCI kind of torque starting below 2k rpm and yet at the same time you can floor it to the redline over 5k rpm for the 328i...
Unless you are really committed to buy the 328i, please don't test drive it. The power of that car is really something. Right after the test drive, I felt that my 2.5L E60 is underpowered when I drove back from the branch. The only reason why I didn't go for it is the 3 series is not as comfortable as the 5 series.

x2 the price
x2 328i expensive roadtax
x2 the insurance
x2 the spare parts later
for bmw money i'd rather go for something like Subaru Legacy 2.5GT

thats a good car no doubt about it.just isn't brutal enough for me.
but very good package killing the ugly new civic, altis died sometime back with sylphy, and is cheaper than a golf, good buy, but might lose out to a jetta being more roomier but gotta pay near to 150k for that.
