You're right about that. With that spec and price, it will surely sell. Aside from the badge, it's also 16k difference which translate to about RM250 less per month to pay in installments.
Lucky (or unlucky) government protect P1&P2 coz if the price is in the 50k range, LOL!
maybe the lowest spec Vios D (deathtrap) selling at 69k is already too close for comfort for P1 & P2 if that happens.

less SC , after sale n space part is main obstacles.
this is true.
since SD has so many brands they should join forces on the SC part.
don't need to stock up every spare part at least enough for usual maintainence enough.

You are right, SDAC has to invest in this aspect but there are no enough Fords sold to justify it I guess. Kinda like a chicken and egg dilemma.
On the other hand, I know some ppl buy toyota just for the brand. I tell my friends the Vios J has worse spec than a Saga, they look at me like I am mad. I am sure some reading this post is thinking the same thing.
c'mon vios still using a crappy 90's 4AT while saga can offer the latest CVT gearbox.
granted its not the best like dual-clutch but in mitsu range dual-clutch only reserved for evo so CVT is considered a big upgrade, if mitsu was evil they could just have given proton the invecs 1 or 2 gearbox.

pls dun be too optimistic on the Ecoboost thing on the fiesta..
the fact is the cost for ecoboost is high..even over in UK the 1.0 Ecoboost focus is priced much higher than the 1.6 N/A version..
so do bear in mind that if the fiesta FL came in with 1.0 it wont be just slot it as direct replacement for the current 1.6 N/A version without any price adjustment..expect a 10k increase at least..and tat would definitely hampered fiesta sales

true then it will become an anomaly like the rotary engine.
good performance, small cc, cheap roadtax, cars ain't that much cheaper.
