what do u mean only 4 speed on manual mode? U mean sports mode? But how's that possible :-S
wad kind of issues do u mean?
the dual clutch gearbox on volkwagen cars are quite good in terms of performance but kinda weak in terms of reliability from what i read.wad kind of issues do u mean?

that is true....malaysians do care a lot about space that is why jap cars dominate in this segment...jap cars do not rely on high specs or great techy features....they rely on space and comfort to challenge the europeans and koreans in this segment...very evident in B segment sales with vios dominating....downside is that MOST jap cars drive like boats....vios for example...dead steering...no feel at all....very boring car to drive
don't get me started with the vios.even the saga flx has better tech!

I'm not trying to prove that the focus have a great interior space. as you can see from my first post, i did say that if you really care about those seating at the back, the focus is not the car for you.
and i'm not trying to justify the focus is a comparable car against its c-segment rivals in terms of interior space because i've said that you will feel claustrophobic when compared to its rivals.
so in conclusion, i do agree that the focus interior space is not up to the standards set by the class leaders. what i'm trying to prove from my post is to convince people that the interior is not that bad. some people keep on perceiving the interior of the focus as really inferior as if you are seating in a kancil. that's what i'm trying to debuff.
malaysian puts interior space as the first priority when purchasing a car. that's why you see a lot of myvis on the road. not only its cheap, but it's spacious as hell (or heaven. whatever you want to put it). hence by perceiving the interior of a focus is like a kancil will hamper its image (malaysians will disregard the car as incompetent due to interior space alone) which to me is really really unfair because the focus is a really great car.
my 2 cents about the interior space.and i'm not trying to justify the focus is a comparable car against its c-segment rivals in terms of interior space because i've said that you will feel claustrophobic when compared to its rivals.

slightly bigger wrap round and plush seats compared to my civic fd1.
feels comfortable to be in.
rear space i couldn't really care because for me its a drivers car, and the 3 other people are bothering my personal space so should be glad they get to sit

aiks the 2 speed mana pergi? rofl
i didnt get to tekan the car as mentioned thanks to terrified unker SA lol
and yes, definitely having lag on R/1/2 gears for the ford's DCT. my year 1999 iswara auto responds much better on the transmission, which is a tad bit disappointing for a year 2012 car.

when in sports mode you can go 1,2,3,4 thats it!
it only goes 5,6 in fully auto mode.
SA explained this by telling me 5,6 is mostly overdrive for highway cruising low rpm at high speed.
but then a similar dual clutch gearbox from volkswagen gives you 7 gears to play with.
my sa was a nice guy lemme test on highway but was during rush hour so couldn't really floor it.
but i guess the car not yet run in. only 70+ kms and feels really lazy wanna move from stand still or slight rolling after braking to 80% near round about.
