Sound like something from the mobo/audio chip. Send it to HP Centre... before that, try use different power socket.

Uhh.. try DNA 11.8-pre-3.
Else maybe u need to remove everything and reinstall back HP driver and straight update to 11.8.

where the to download DNA 11.8-pre-3 ? From official web ?

If remove driver just remove amd driver ?

Added on September 25, 2011, 7:39 pmIf u remove Catalyst driver it will remove both AMD AMD driver and HP AMD driver, so you need to reinstall HP AMD driver first for the switchable function and then update the Catalyst driver on top.

Yeah, it is a modded driver. You can update back to AMD official if the version is newer...

yeah the specs are great with its value, but im scared of getting a HP..
because previously many HP users hav mobo/lcd prob..

anyone know if digital mall have 6114tx or dv6-6168TX?

for dv6-6168TX does it include the beat headphone?

Got an audio problem with it.

When I plug in my headset which is a p11 headset for ps3, I get to used it with audio and be able to use the mic. When I unplug and use my speakers, and then go back to my headset I lose both audio and mic.

But, when I use my normal headset (phillips) it's okay but I lose mic. I'm beginning to wonder is it because the p11 headset has a usb plug and just an audio jack and because of that my sound can't be picked up.

Any ideas on that?

Does anyone know the first year warranty is international or local? Currently at outstation. The stupid buzzing sound I was talking earlier (at the left hand side..probably GC fan) just got a bit loader..fear it would explode one day.

left palm area, i don't play games with my dv6 but sometimes i still can feel the heat especially during day time & non air cond room

i am hp user for about 4-5 years..
totally have no problem with screen as long as you take care the lptop properly..even other laptop.

now im using dv6-6001tx just for 3month++ and im satisfied with this laptop

When the headset lost its audio, did u try disabling this?

hi all, i just got mine 3 days ago.
Something's worng when i use google chrome, it just hang there. nothing responded, mouse, keypad watsoever. nothing can recover except hard reset. Anyone of u get this problem?
