QUOTE(pc-lee @ Dec 13 2013, 02:41 PM) Hi. My friend transferred via UOB and CIMB to my Maybank using IBG normal transfer on 5th December but up till now I still don't see the funds in my account (13thDecember). Their system got problem? Called MBB they cannot checked ask check with sender bank, sender bank called their bank and check they say all successful. Weird. Better verify the Maybank account number your friend entered.

My customer transfer money to me using ibg at 9pm just now..
She's using cimb, then ibg to my maybank. But she just put my name as Mohd Abu, instead of real name 'Mohammad' Abu..
Will this affect the ibg? And when i can check the money available in my maybank?
Thanks

According to BNM, Interbank GIRO(IBG) must be 10 sen per transfer (unless opt for Instant IBG, additional charges applies)

QUOTE(David83 @ Dec 21 2013, 09:05 AM) SI and future (scheduled) fund transfer is not same IMHO. RHB now name as future transfer (with recurring option) but not 'standing instruction' but Public Bank and Hong Leong is under 'setup standing instruction', then it can select type of fund transfer or recurring type of 'One-Time' or 'periodly' . so i guess is the same thing. if for maybank SI and future(schedule) fund transfer is different things, where can i get the service of IBG a fixed amount to pay other bank loan account monthly? Please advice This post has been edited by edwardccg: Dec 21 2013, 09:13 AM

Has anyone read a circular on maybank that bank negara requires additional fields to be keyed in for transfers, ie. Recipient Reference. What will we write here and will the recipient see it? My first thought will be things like transfering for online purchase, lets say to a seller here on Lowyat, when I buy a Pikachu doll from Mr Beng, I send him RM20, so along with it I indicate Recipient Refence as "FROM fz for purchase of the Pikachu doll". Then Mr Beng will know who deposited the money and for what Item. Previously, we also can write the Recipient Reference, but I never was able to access this info when I am receiving money from someone who had written the "remark".

One question: CIMB recently have upgraded their system, and noticed that the account number is different now. If we have favourite the previous number if other bank account for transfer purpose, do we need to update the new account number or we can still proceed using favourite old account number? Thanks. QUOTE(enriquelee @ Feb 17 2014, 02:47 PM) Let say i have a same international bank in Malaysia and Singapore. If i bank in SGD at Singapore account, can i withdraw SGD from Malaysia? I believe it depends on which country the account resides. i.e. U open bank account in Malaysia, so currency is in MYR, if u transfer SGD to the account, it will auto convert into MYR using bank's conversion rate, and vice versa. Same goes to withdraw, and there will be conversion rate as well. This post has been edited by WallChecker: Feb 22 2014, 02:05 AM
