QUOTE(hackwire @ Aug 1 2011, 07:50 AM) http://www.getupfresh.com/index.html I have been using this product nightly, without fail, since 2007. It really works. i like to find out if any of you have use this product before ? does it help or any discomfort while sleeping? I was a very bad snorer since years before. On the first night of usage, my wife told me that I hardly snored. I woke up feeling really fresh - like it was a new life to me. Since then, I have never stopped using it. I found that if I were not to use it for even one night, I would feel terrible the next day. It really works, believe me. I have also tried to compare it with a CPAP machine that doctors would recommend because to them it is the gold standard for treatment of my problem which is sleep apnea of which snoring is an important symptom. I thought that I may be missing out something if I do not try it as well. So, I spent a few thousand Ringgit to buy one. I used it for a few months. It gave me many problems not encountered with my use of SomnoGuard AP. Apart from those things, it did not improve my sleep apnea problems by a lot although I used both at the same time. Therefore, I have stopped using the CPAP machine now and am just using SomnoGuard AP. It had saved me many moments during sleep when I had to wake up to adjust the CPAP mask because it was not working properly. And, I do not have to spend money to replace masks, to service the machine, to waste time in disassembling the mask to clean it daily, to spend time to assemble the mask and machine in order to use it nightly. With SomnoGuard AP, all I would need to do nightly is just to sit my teeth in the comfortable mould made specifically for them. Then sleep with it. In the mornings, I need only to take it out of my mouth and wash it like what I would do every morning with my teeth. It is so simple to use and it is so effective for my snoring and sleep apnea problems. And, it costs only a fraction of the price of a CPAP machine or surgery. I think everyone who suffers from loud snoring and feel tired and sleepy during work or while driving should consider first a SomnoGuard AP. He or she will find a world of a difference immediately after using it. I fully recommend the device. As for discomfort, it happened only at the beginning while I was learning to use it. Even then, I was able to sleep with SomnoGuard AP on the first night of usage. However, I felt more used to it on the 4th day. Hope my experience helps to explain some facts that are of interest to you. |

this is not expensive as compare to sleep apnea machine which cost easily from RM 4K -10K.
im using the machine now and my snoring is permanently gone when i hook on the mask.. the only thing that one should concern is the comfortability of putting something while u r sleeping. im not use to my mask for a while and after i change to something lighter call nasal mask, it works wonder but if somnoguard is lightweight and doesn't gives any hard contact that causes u to wake up at night probably because of misalignment or sore pain than that's a good product. |

QUOTE(hackwire @ Feb 12 2012, 01:21 PM) this is not expensive as compare to sleep apnea machine which cost easily from RM 4K -10K. My experience with SomnoGuard AP is that you won't know it is in your mouth once you are sleeping. It consists of only one item that you place in your mouth before sleeping. There are grooves which are exact impressions of your teeth. im using the machine now and my snoring is permanently gone when i hook on the mask.. the only thing that one should concern is the comfortability of putting something while u r sleeping. im not use to my mask for a while and after i change to something lighter call nasal mask, it works wonder but if somnoguard is lightweight and doesn't gives any hard contact that causes u to wake up at night probably because of misalignment or sore pain than that's a good product. 2012 is my 5th year of use. I have no problem using it. The device is comfortable to use and didn't cause misalignment of my teeth or pain. I also like its size. I can carry it even in my trouser pocket when travelling. Better still, I don't need anything else to operate it. In Malaysia, the company has an expert to make the teeth impressions and fit the device without added cost at RM780 only. One can thus enjoy peace of mind compared with experimentations when fitting it by oneself. www.getupfresh.com has the details. |

Only 2 majors player in this industry ResMed and Philips Respironics. Personally would prefer ResMed S9 series over Philips System One. Coz System One design don't look appealing. Lol

It should be cheaper or you can go to University Hospital for check but it takes a lot of visit . just be patient. Price wise.... there are many brands out there and RM4K to 9K for the machine. QUOTE(extremepower @ Feb 13 2012, 02:57 AM) What about this brand. Anyone tried this? A very effective and comfortable option for both snoring and sleep apnea is to use a thermoplastic device customized for your bite, breathing habits and jaw movements like the Ultimate Stop Snoring Solution. The set of 3 mouthpieces gradually advance the lower jaw to find the most effective position to move the tongue away from the soft palate and back of the throat to open the airway and stop loud snoring. These devices can be trimmed and molded to fit any size or shape of mouth but at a fraction of the cost of a dentist-made device can be found at http://www.ultimatestopsnoringsolution.com/how.htmlI too am a powerful snoring machine.. lol. http://www.ultimatestopsnoringsolution.com/index.html |

I have been diagnosed with snoring and mild sleep apnea. I try to sleep on my side but I often end up on my back and I think that’s when I snore.I have never been overweight and I quit smoking about 7 months ago. I tried CPAP – forget about it. I recently found a anti-snoring device that is working good for me. The most important is that it is comfortable to sleep with.

I was diagnosed moderate obstructive sleep apnea two years ago, and i am using somnodent AP Pro, which is custom made oral device. Effective and comfortable, wife no complaint of loud snoring since i wore this appliance. And i wake up fresh everyday. My advice, find a good sleep apnea dentist to do this, i went through several adjustment and finally engaged with the correct protrusion of lower jaw, i cant sleep well without the oral device now. A properly trained sleep apnea dentist will refer you for sleep test for diagnosis first, as my dentist told me that oral device can only treat obstructive sleep apnea, not the central sleep apnea. She referred me to government hospital, but private wing, more affordable, and fast, around rm400 that time. Then she explained to me my sleep test results, took mould for the oral device, surprisingly it is comfy. After the adjustment i wore it for two months then went for follow up sleep test, and my sleep apnea index improved. So my advice, get a well trained sleep dentist if you really want an oral appliances.

I swear by this one, and they are currently running a buy one get one free offer ($80 USD): Good Bye Snore. I have apnea, but no insurance. I can't afford a CPAP. This has stopped my snoring almost completely, and I feel much more rested than I used to. I wouldn't suggest this as a replacement for sleep testing and a CPAP, but if you are in my shoes it is definitely a viable option. The best part, so far as I can see, is that it not only stops the snoring, but it also retrains your jaw so as to eliminate part of the cause of the problem. The site I linked two has the study information posted, along with several other informative articles.

Well this is a speciality of mine! There are quite a few options been put forward in this thread....some good & some very poor.....alas, there are so many solutions on the market that in can be very overwhelming! I know, I have been there!!....& as a woman it's not a great affliction to have!
The key is moving the jaw & in some cases the tongue forward, this opens up the airway far more when you sleep & pretty much eliminates snoring....some of the solutions on here involve putting the devices in hot water & moulding them to your teeth.....this is okay if you have a 'big bite' & very profound teeth...but I don't & they were just a waste of money! There are 2 solutions that I can recommend as I use both. One is jaw related & the other tongue. I alternate between them both.....the reason being that the jaw one can get uncomfortable after a few nights (this is usual I am afraid but does get better over time). I got so involved in this that I have set up a couple of websites about them (websites are what I do) & was getting fed up with seeing people waste their time & money on stuff that just doesn't work. One of them I imagine nobody has come across, they don't really advertise & they are a little UK based Co.....they have their device in all the UK NHS Sleep clinics they are that good! I have been using them for years & said I would help them promote it....so they have given me my own landing page & exclusive offer page - SleepingDen.com. You won't find them anywhere else. They are just getting to grips with shipping worldwide so if you have any issues pls PM me & I can look into it for you. The other one is the tongue based solution, the web address is in my signature. Both work & I use them both. Please feel free to contact me with any questions as I consider myself a wealth of knowledge & have personally made it my mission to get people the solutions that work & avoid wasting money like I did!
