You're right.
Reduce widgets and running apps number are only way to help.

Edited: Still teh same easily to reach 180MB sweat.gif Clear out time or monitoring widgets reduce few secs of stutter when just unlock the screen. Need more experiment.

Did some experiment on the stutter problem, it is always cause by real time apps like time widgets, task monitor widgets and so on.

So now i kept only shortcuts and non real time running widgets on my home screen, so far i did not encounter lags or stutter when just unlocked the screen.

U mean the few secs lag after unlocking? Im not sure but I notice it varies according to times. Certain time of the month it becomes smooth, certain time it becomes bad laugh.gif im not sure either. But for sure it's better in launcherpro than ICS launcher

Added on December 11, 2011, 4:24 pmWill try and remove those widgets u mentioned, see it works or not

Downloading the firmware file now, connections a little slow tonight
So all I have to just remove sim card and the sd card
Connect the phone to pc and go to recovery mode and
start ODIN like in the settings you posted
Not really familiar with ODIN because I never use it before, just need to be sure of the correct steps for it
Thanks again smile.gif

Thanks for the detailed instructions
Successfully installed stock rom with odin, just had to wipe data otherwise the bootscreen keeps looping
How do I properly root the device?
I've already tried this method from this site

http://androidflip.com/root-samsung-galaxy...bread-firmware/

Tried installing 'upd_1.zip' but it gives me error so I used “AceGingerRoot.zip” instead
I see the SuperUser app displayed but it doesn't really do anything though
Apps like Titanium backup still requires that I root my device
And I did install CWM before installing the files for root.

Running launcherpro + 3D digital clock widget + circle launcher + launcherpro friends widget + launcherpro calender widget, running with 5 homescreens
Last time i think i use all these got lag after unlock, so maybe it depends on the time as well? hmm.gif I got no idea lol

Typical smartphone battery life, with nowadays technology cannot hope for much now sad.gif
What can do turn off the device(wifi, gps, etc) when not needed, reduce screen brightness and don't use monitoring widgets(RAM, tasks, battery, etc).
