Guys, my friend's Galaxy Ace stuck at boot screen.
He already took out the batteries, simcard and the sdcard.
But it's still the same problem, he's still on the stock firmware froyo 2.2 and has never root/flash custom roms.

Is there any solution for this?
Or should he just get it fixed at samsung service center?

hi everyone..is there a full guide on upgrade to official 2.3.4?
*
Just use latest Kies, once you connect ace to your pc it should display an option to upgrade and just proceed from there

Guys, how exactly can I install stock firmware?
I didn't root the phone, just installed CWM and flash IceCream Sunday 2 custom rom and I did create a backup before flashing.

try to restart the driver *#*#526#*#*

Already did that, but I'm getting 'Driver loading failed' error sad.gif
and even restarted the phone a few times, but still the same problem
The stock firmware I recovered is 2.3.4

Downloading the firmware file now, connections a little slow tonight
So all I have to just remove sim card and the sd card
Connect the phone to pc and go to recovery mode and
start ODIN like in the settings you posted
Not really familiar with ODIN because I never use it before, just need to be sure of the correct steps for it
Thanks again smile.gif

no need to remove the sim card and sd card smile.gif
make sure that kies is not running in the background
start odin and input the file
OPS=cooper.ops
tick one package
One Package=S5830DXKPD_S5830OLBKPC_S5830DXKPD_HOME.tar.md5

go to download mode Middle Key(OK Key) +Volume Down Key and while holding both press power on key
connect the phone via usb and press start

odin+cooper.ops http://www.mediafire.com/?yd7pzjb573xvpyp

Thanks for the detailed instructions
Successfully installed stock rom with odin, just had to wipe data otherwise the bootscreen keeps looping
How do I properly root the device?
I've already tried this method from this site

http://androidflip.com/root-samsung-galaxy...bread-firmware/

Tried installing 'upd_1.zip' but it gives me error so I used “AceGingerRoot.zip” instead
I see the SuperUser app displayed but it doesn't really do anything though
Apps like Titanium backup still requires that I root my device
And I did install CWM before installing the files for root.
