Nice phone anyway, but battery drain very fast.

Yea I read around and use 2G settings and no wifi anymore, keeping it light. I'm new to Android also.
I wonder are they any volume profile settings in stock instead of getting a widget?

if i want receive mms, then everyday kena charge?

I just got my phone few days, haven't test out how long it can last.

I had issue on messaging where I can't set the contact view to phone only, it will default mix up both SIM card and phone, so I had to bring all the contact to 1 place or else I will get repeating contacts.

Make sure your router has DHCP enabled, if not you need to manually set the IP address using static IP.
If got DHCP still won't work, restart your router and try again.

At office you set it to static ip, when go public wifi, you uncheck the static ip to have it work.
If using static ip, make sure everything are set....ip, gateway, subnet mask, dns 1.

Since DHCP server is enabled, there is no need to manually configure your phone to get internet.

This could be your office router has security features running on, means that not allow other unknown device to connect and use the internet.

If no try check out is that router has DHCP enabled or not, check the router is link to the modem or not also.

I'm impressed with the battery life for low usage...



4 days with 30% left

My normal usage just a few sec of call, some sms and alarm daily....

Yea stock gingerbread 2.3.4, no mod at all....
I was try to test out how is the battery life on my normal usage, and it actually impressed me coz most of the time I heard smartphone battery life is short and have to charge everyday, and that always bug me not to get a smartphone.

Before testing out i actually try to discharge the battery from 30 to auto shutdown, it took me about 40mins of playing angry bird rio and with wifi turned on, quite satisfy me....

So I had thought of an idea to increase standby time....using sunglobal battery and then recalibrate the battery level again.

Hitting 5th day....
Anyway it is the most power saving setting i used, 15sec screen timeout and lowest brightness...

no web, calls and sms got...

Recharged and tested with wifi already, wifi and web drain 30% of battery just 2 hours total...

After quite a time playing around with widget and found that retro clock actually will make my phone lag.

Found Simple Time Widget, whole phone won't lag as last time so far...

Not to worry about the RAM actually, just make sure you didn't use phone hogging applications then it'll be good.
I had mine working fine, had 180mb or below of ram usage after removed the hogging apps.

My favorite good and fast browser...
so far i have no problem with it....

Me light user and had tight budget, so Galaxy Ace is more than enough for me.
If you need performance, get Galaxy W.

Better you go for SGW if you play angry birds, stock SGA cannot fully smooth when play angry birds, but people said modded firmware will go smooth.

You'll regret only when you need for speed, like reading pdf, watch high quality videos, want smooth scrolling for every part.

Yes you need go for SGW or higher
