What are you trying to say with "who been swap it for more than 10k"?

I need to correct you - VISA and Mastercard acceptance is the same in Malaysia. All card terminals issued in Malaysia generally accept both Mastercard and VISA. Unless you are a jet setter who travels to exotic countries some where in the world where they do not accept Mastercard and/or VISA. And I'm not talking about China - I do know in China sometimes they don't want to accept Mastercard and VISA in favor of their own local card - UnionPay.

The idea is to keep your cards secure and never let anyone use it.

Dont let the name and perceived status of the card distract you. What is more important is, how are you going to benefit from the card, any card? Go through the list of benefits and so on and decide yourself whether you willing to have the card in your stable or not.

Bro, unfortunately Maybank credit cards annual income requirement starts from RM30K.

For CIMB, I don't think they offer cash back cards for classic or gold, and if they do, it would be competitive.

For RHB, click here to read my review of RHB Credit Cards and maybe if you really want a RHB credit card, you can consider their Travel Money card.

I would recommend you UOB One Card based on your sending pattern. Below shows you how much cash back you can earn with the UOB One Card.

Petrol RM350 x 5% = RM17.50
Groceries RM150 x 2% = RM3
Dining RM100x 0.3% - RM0.30
Telco RM150 x 2% = RM3
Movies RM50 x 5% = RM2.50

Total cash back = RM26.30 or RM315.60/yr less RM50 GST = RM265.60/year which is not too bad.

And if you pump petrol at BHP you can eaqrn another 2% SMART$ Cash and at GSC 5% SMART$ Cash.

You can also look into MACH by hong Leong Bank which you do qualify; but since Petrol is your main expenses, the MACH may not be useful to you unless you start to eat out more often.

Once your income touch RM30K/yr go look into Maybankard 2 Cards and at RM36K/yr go for OCBC Titanium MasterCArd.

Maybankard is the best.

UOB does have installment plan but it is not 0%

And with your current income, best you save money instead of purchasing stuff with installment plan. Click here to read my article, 0% Installment Plan Is A Trap.

Just get confirmation that this card can't use online to buy movie ticket. You are not entitle for the 20% cash back if you buy online. that is bad. sad.gif

I recommend the maybank 2 cards.
5% cashback (max Rm50 per month) for weekend transactions for AMEX.
5x points everyday for AMEX
Note, AMEX is not accepted as most petronas stations.
The visa/mastercard gives competitive overseas exchange rate.
