Yes, quality is very good. When the first i asked for a demo unit, i thought it would be another cheaply made product. But then found out the final touch is quite in good quality.

Proton will be more expensive to install because need aftermarket bypass module (XpressKIT), the bypass module comes with the alarm don't work on our Proton transponder. samwongjyhhorng inquired from me too right after i post that thread up.. tongue.gif

If install on japs/korean car, the module will just work fine. Save you from spending RM380 for the Xpresskit.

Checked with other "authorized" SC on wheel alignment / steering senget problem, they can check for me but with charges ... sad.gif

So, I informed my SA abt it, n submitted the wheel alignment's reports to him, so that he will make a report to the service manager ... hope it will be resolve asap, at least let me install the chamber kit with my own pocket money without threatening me abt the warranty.

There are rat in your car ! rclxm9.gif  (just joking) this is due to the poor quality of plastic material use by proton for this WRM design.

1) Gonna have my service this week at Juru SC, they using Petronas Synt 800. Thinking of using better lube cuz my car's pickup from 0-60 very sluggish! Need to tekan kuat a bit then only can feel the torque. FC is about average 9.5, daily jam(considered no highway driving). Might need some suggestion on the brands and type of engine oil ASAP.
If your car are less than 10K km your 9.5 FC no highway is consider ok and normal, semi syn oil recomented Castrol magnetic due to its goos cold start protection and reasonable price.

2) Common problem with persona, tok tok tok sound when cornering on uneven road. Reported to SC but they said tadak bunyi ar! How to force them to change the power steering assembly???
ask them to drive the car on the uneven road together with you.

3) Left side dashboard got krak kruk krak kruk when road is uneven. The sound is very crispy!
was it come from the empty slot under the player, try put your hand in side the slot when the crispy sound came.

4) Driver side door panel making a slight "ting ting" bell like sound unocassionally.
it was the driver side door lock rod inside the door panel hitting the metal part inside can besolve by wraping the tape.

5) Something at the back is lose, having sounds presumably at the back speaker part. Should I ask them to screw everything tight?? LOL!
what kind of sound it could be the foldable seat hook if it is can besolve by wraping tape on all the hook and latch.

6) Front brakes making "kroooook" sound when stop and go. Already complain in the last service, but still there. Break pads issue? or perhaps the disk?
this sound are commond for auto trans. car with disc brake because we put it at D when realeast the break, when at D the car actually is trying to move fwd but our break stop it to move, so when release it sound the break pad mopping the disc sound.
*
Bro, for question 3, you know the cover for the sport light, unlock button just above the HU, got plastic sound like you push got plastic sound. Any idea how to solve?

And problem 5, how do you tape the latch? I tape the hock kao kao also got sound. (hmm)

Oh the cheap plastic sound when u press? remove the whole button console & stuff the sides with double sided tape then stick it back in lah.. Actually this noise at our gear console there also got.. The silver colour trim around the PRND32L..

U tape the latch with what kind of tape? Try a different tape ma..

Proton alarm is not that bad bro... tongue.gif

They need extra higher power transponder bypass kit to "tarik" the RF signal because Proton is using those ultra low frequency RF in their transponder.

For Toyota / Honda, you don't have to place the immobilizer chip near the receiver in order to crank your engine. But in Proton, the chip must be very near to the receiver only to deactivated the immobilizer.

It's not a bad thing afterall. tongue.gif

I started to complained to them abt the alignment when my mileage was 850KM (3 weeks old), eventhough the problem is there when i collected my car, n now 1450km already (1 month old).

1 of the tyre shop recommended by them, another 1 is the trusted one.

Thieves nowadays.. U got what alarm system also they can disable wan lo.. The function of alarm system in the car is only to delay the thief until someone saw what he's doin.. Otherwise, given enough time he sure can get off easily with ur car wan lah.. So hi tech la thieves nowadays..

If u havent been in an accident or ran over anything solid that can knock ur chambers out, there's totally no need to replace it..

I dont know what happened to the car b4 i collect it, but i definitely didnt involve in any accident or ran over anything ... i notice the problem from the beginning, just that i thought RM20 alignment will do ... no big deal, only now i know im wrong.

But both tyre shops told me without changing chamber nuts, no way they can do the alignment back. The trusted one even tried to do the alignment, but result still same.

Just that im not really sure, really its alignment problem or the steering senget as told by the Proton mechanic.
