ChaCha is quite a rare device. We might be adding full support for it in the future, but for now unfortunately we can't guarantee anything.
Once Viber 2.1 is release, I'd appreciate if you could install it and let us know of any special issues.

I have been tested viber before and so far with good experience, in term of call quality and access. but the only drawback is no support on the landscape mode.

let us know when viber 2.1 is out and i will install it again to feedback you later then.

It seems as though there is something slowing your WiFi network down. Please run a speed-test and make sure that it's actually 1mb on download AND upload (many times the upload rates are very low, and this causes Viber to give you poor quality).

The good news is that in the future we plan to add a feature that'll slightly "lower" the quality of Viber calls on bad networks if it detects that the connection is somewhat choppy, thus "sacrificing" on quality in order to assure stable calls.

I am using an HTC HD2 with MDJ FroYo HD 4.6 android running on my SD card and my friend at school uses an iPhone 4, we are both connected to the same wifi at school, that wifi is a 20mbps UniFi BIZ20 package, I tested on my phone's speedtest.net app and got around 5mbps.

However, when I used viber to call my friend, it has a ringing tone on my phone, but on my friends iPhone (at the same time I called him), nothing happens, he then gets a missed call notifications from Viber..

and Vice Versa...

Hi all,
Sorry for the late response:

@Boy96 -
Is any of you using Viber on a blocked WiFi network? (usually a school network, workplace network, etc.)
It sounds as if the network is blocked.

In order to use Viber behind a firewall, make sure the following ports are open (ingoing AND outgoing):
TCP: 5242 + 4244
UDP: 5243 + 9785

@xproc -
To be frank, we haven't thoroughly tested Viber on that device yet (due to the fact that it's still quite rare in the market worldwide), but we assume that it should generally work fine, with some potential incompatibility issues.

We'd love for you to test it and let us know if anything goes wrong.

Hi guys , i recently downloaded and installed Viber for my Galaxy 5 . I tried calling on of the android phones Sony Ericson X10 , it works fine but when i tried calling the same model as mine (The Galaxy 5) , the other party who owns the Galaxy 5 can't receive my calls . And after i pressed the "end call" in Viber . The other party's Galaxy 5 received a miss call . But previously , didn't even hear a ringing sound or any notification sounds for a call coming in when i tried calling . We tried again , but this time the other party called me through Viber , the same result appears , no ringing and just shows a "Miss Call" on my phone screen after the other party pressed the "end call" in viber . I am sure that me and the other person did not put on "Silent" or "Vibrate" on our phones .

Need ur help here on the issue . I can call other models of phones using android and the other person can receive my call successfully . But i can't reach/call the same model of my phone , can call , but the other person's phone does not show any "Incoming Calls" .

Thanks

i wonder is it just me or what. i call my dad ipad 2 with my galaxy sl.Both of us r in the same house using same wifi. The sound is choppy. I am pretty sure my internet connection is fine. I did a speed test. got the download 1.1mbps and upload 0.36mbps.
hmm,i wonder how much kbps does viber need for a average calling quality?

right after i test with viber.i try skype. the sound qualitty is much much much better.

Out of so many many many time i try Viber.There is just once the viber sound quality is just same as phone call quality. I wonder is it viber server congested?
