Just want to share

I ordered a GE620DX-FHD last Monday at lowyat plaza. I tot i can collect it by Tuesday but the seller and supplier send me the non FHD version. lol WTH i paid more then RM3200 and they give me the hd version. what got me more piss off is that the seller is clueless about the latest msi notebook spec and msi supplier keep insisted that they already send the correct item. OMG why as a buyer have to explain it to them and prove proof doh.gif

so the moral of the story, if you guyz planning to buy this MSI notebook make sure you buy at a well inform shop. it can safe your time and money laugh.gif

Unfortunately, which shops @ Lowyat are well informed shops? Doesn't seem to be too many re-sellers/vendors to begin with.... blink.gif

Is there any option to upgrade the OS to Windows 7 Pro? hmm.gif

I'm thinking to get GE620DX or Sager NP5165...

Kinda same spec/price, but GE620DX comes with OS brows.gif

Btw, is the maintenance of the laptop easy? hows the layout on the back panel? smile.gif

the Heatpipes are quite long as well.. But the heatvent is made of aluminum. If its made of copper, it would be much nicer.

Added on August 27, 2011, 12:07 amnot quite happy with the HDD being left 'naked' with the 'green' parts exposed.. they should probably make some kind of foil to cover it or something.

Haha thanks for the confirmation.
Actually i went back to the shop again after office hour and i told them about the situation.
They return back the battery to the supplier for confirmation and it turn out that they accidentally took the wrong battery after checking the inside. The battery that i got earlier is actually for a netbook doh.gif laugh.gif sweat.gif lol
Now everything is working as it should, im quite happy with it even though i have to go through some hiccup to get this laptop
Already tried some game on it and the laptop perform really well. Now i can game on the go biggrin.gif thumbup.gif

volt.how long you have to wait until you get ge620dx after you ordered? i wonder if there's still stock in lyp for me to go buy on the spot :S

btw, ge620dx got nice coloured ASDW on its keyboard right? coz on the site that msi representative give, it looks normal ASDW.

Emmm...i dont think you can get the laptop on the spot they rarely keep stock for this model, usually you have to order it first. It take around 1 day for back to back order. So if you order on monday you should get it by the next day. So far i think only this model have gt555m with FHD screen under RM3300. The wait is worth it IMO. smile.gif

Add on: About the ASDW, they are not fully colored button. Only a partial on the surface, might fade time to time so nothing special about it.

sry i dont have their number. I just randomly ask at the shop I bought a laptop before. I try ask around and most of shop in lowyat can get it for you, just state the exact model you want. But to be safe, better buy at the shop that Sanko stated earlier - PC3 and brightstar. They might provide better service then other shop which doesnt have experience selling this model.
