I really doubt the dealers are willing to upgrade the laptops for us.

If they were to upgrade, how would they deal with the non full hd laptops?

I think MSI should do something about it like recollecting the non fullHD ones and upgrading them and sell as refurbished or something.

just my 2 cents..

Let's be fair, if you were MSI, would you do that?
It doesn't make any business sense.

However, instead of accepting "trade in", I think MSI should give an option to sell the FHD panel to existing GE620DX users.
The best MSI can offer could be free labor charge in replacing the LCD panel.

From the pictures of some review, the GE620DX-FHD should have the chiclet style keyboard as well right?

So far hows the build of the keyboards?

Agreed with this, if need to pay for changing the FHD LCD panel then its ok, but are they?

Dear all,
Seems like what ALeUNe said is pretty true and we decided to do it. Here's is the first wave of announcement before we confirm the procedure with our ASP.

1. Full HD Panel = RM300 (Cost to be paid to MSI)
2. Labor Charge = RM80-RM100 (Cost to be paid to ASP)
3. Customer who decide to change the LCD Panel themselves will void the warranty.
4. I'll personally help out for customer who wants to upgrade the LCD Panel. Customer can PM me and i'll notify the preferred ASP so that there won't be any further communication/explanation needed. As this is the first time we do something like this. ASP may be confused if customer walk-in and wants to upgrade a LCD Panel.

That's all what we can do. Thanks for still keeping faith with us.

That's the latest spec. Some dealers have old stock with 1GB VGA. So do check to purchase to latest spec. The processor is correct, which is upgraded to i7-2670.

Excellent!! thumbup.gif
MSI Malaysia offers an option to those who want to upgrade to FHD panel.
Dirt cheap price for an FHD LED panel.

For your own sake, please don't buy the laptop at that date - the date which Intel Ivy Bridge will probably come out.

And I heard NVIDIA and AMD mobile GPU will appear at the end of this year.

Conclusion, wait a bit, get a new laptop with new hardwares so you can get cheaper price + better performance + better spec thumbup.gif

That would be a superb advice from you guys. rclxm9.gif

I would still keep hoping next year that MSI should deal more and better laptops from the rest in terms of customer satisfaction and demand in a reasonable price as well like this one. drool.gif

Since then, I'm an MSI fanatic. thumbup.gif

I'll wait then. Thanks!
