Craving to have this lappy soon.

Just got some questions for you guys.

1. Anyone else got a problem with BSOD?
(Besides, kaylee and Batusai are fine already.)

2. Have any comment with THX sound performance?

3. Is TDE+ reliable?

4. Tried HDMI port already?

5. Any performance issues so far?

I'm currently here in Seberang Jaya. Can someone recommend where I can purchase this GE620DX?

Thanks a lot.

Thanks.

Right acid, maybe need to confirm with MSI though.
Based on the brochure, the GE620 has, so I've been expecting that DX has it also. But it was not indicated on their site that TDE (Turbo Drive Engine) feature included.

Acid, where did you buy yours?

The cheapest gaming laptop ever.

GE620DX-FHD [15.6", 1920 x 1080, Intel HRV i7-2670, NVIDIA GT555M, 8GB DDR3, 750GB, Win7 Premium] - RM3299

Seems i7-2670 is faster than i7-2630. 750GB nice if 7200rpm.

Price cheap maybe due to TDE+ not included which is the main feature of the rest of any MSI gaming notebook. Hope there's some tweak to make. Unless it uses chip on the mobo that performs TDE.

Practically wise, this is the best deal so far I know.

That's the latest spec. Some dealers have old stock with 1GB VGA. So do check to purchase to latest spec. The processor is correct, which is upgraded to i7-2670.

Thanks!

Hope it'll still be available by next year.
Plan to buy round March2012. I'm out of budget yet. sad.gif

I'll keep on monitoring.

For your own sake, please don't buy the laptop at that date - the date which Intel Ivy Bridge will probably come out.

And I heard NVIDIA and AMD mobile GPU will appear at the end of this year.

Conclusion, wait a bit, get a new laptop with new hardwares so you can get cheaper price + better performance + better specĀ  thumbup.gif

That would be a superb advice from you guys. rclxm9.gif

I would still keep hoping next year that MSI should deal more and better laptops from the rest in terms of customer satisfaction and demand in a reasonable price as well like this one. drool.gif

Since then, I'm an MSI fanatic. thumbup.gif

I'll wait then. Thanks!

had used it for sometime, what i can say is, this laptop have the best spec for this pricing.

but, i think there are some "issue" which i can share :
graphic:
i used it on running 3ds max, playing dota etc,
but it seem to unable to handle 3ds max where i couldn't use nitrous,
playing dota screen will occasionally lag.

heat:(non air-con room temp)
when i start render thing, it will sound like lorry running,
it's quite hot,
so i bought the cooler master U3,
still hot.

design:
hum, we must open an application(s-bar) in order to open the DVD drive @@"
no button for us to open manually.
it's not a big deal, just "weird"...

Can you be more specific?

What model have you been used? since there are many variants of this GE620DX product.. some made in US, Taiwan, Malaysia etc.
I know that they have the same motherboard, appearance etc... but differ in terms of specs.

Also be specific on temp since we have acceptable temp for laptops that operates on normal condition or in gaming mode. I know that there's a temp monitoring on it that will auto shut off or auto restart when exceed on its temp set point level.

I don't prefer some of cooler thing that can buy on store since as you observe it really don't blow air that much (thinking that you really need to cool it fast and efficiently), just it helps a little.

For 3D rendering, maybe you should try some software to test it, then take a snapshot and post here.

I'm planning to buy this stuff so your input would help a lot.
