I personally think that Kuyt should start, considering on Flanagan experience. Kuyt is very hardworking and normally will come back to help him, but Henderson probably won't be able to do it.

Chill bro, which team never lose before? Mighty Barca also lose at their Nou Camp to many smaller teams like Hercules and Rubin Kazan(?) before. Mighty Man Utd too lost to Wolves at their home before. When you support a football team, you have to expect frustrations about losing and joy of winning. It's part of a football fan. Learn how to control your temper bro, else you may have high blood pressure. tongue.gif

Flanagan should hv block Larsson from doing tat beautiful shot, and after tat Sunderland goal we became unorganized, easily losing the ball, less chances created, more fouls,i din fear for next game against Arsenal as we usually did good against top club, wat i fear is against lesser clubs like Sunderland later

Aquilani might have been the game changer but I probably suspect that it was our right flank. Even between carra and enrique they were already spraying long shots for Kuyt and expect the right-side of the team to baloon up. That didn't happened. But I'm happy that we're not dead on the flanks when we do overlapping runs. At the very least the crosses are there. The only thing left to remedy is to have our forwards positioning where they can intercept the crosses and convert them into viable chances.

You didnt see how we play when we under Hodgson? Can get heart attack wei haha....

And no, we had quite a number of shots on targets, hit the post once, missed penalty, missed headers and all. England games where got so many events? tongue.gif

Wait till Suarez and Lucas back to full fitness...really kesian them because they didnt really get a long holiday off unlike the others. And also our Captain Stevie G.

The players played okay to me.just in the 2nd half the players fail to keep the momentum(tired or why) and they din pressed the ball as fast as in the 1st half.We always played well when suddenly in any match we close ball down like hell.be it under benitez or hodgson.enrique looks very solid defensively with his strength and positioning.put in a couple of good crosses as well. Carroll as well has a decent goal disallowed.good control, strength finish.and of coz u get the excellent corner from adam.and his long range pass is pretty decent aswell.

Thing is you should know that we are not a title winnng team.We dont have the winning mentality yet.

Also you bashing our players is knee jerk reaction. This is our first game without our best player gerrard and flannagan had to cover for johnson.

Other centre back like skrtel injured so kenny had to keep kelly on the bench in case agger or carra injured.

Try to be more understanding.I can tell you now itself that there is a high probability we will not win against arsenal.

We might even lose it.Lower down your expectations as we are work in progress.

Suarez seems tired at the start of the second half... and pity the Carroll goal was a foul, slightest body contact and Wes Brown fell down

What a night! I personally felt ..it wasn't a frustrating game. Each and everyone played their part towards driving the team for a winning start. A draw was a fair result. Henderson had good 1st half though..

To me, Jose Enrique, Carra, Flangan, Agger were excellent during the 1st 45. Like one of you commented here earlier, we seem to have lost in the 2nd half, although good start in the first 5mins. If Suarez's and Carroll's goal were converted and allowed (respectively), we wouldn't had much trouble holding the game in the 2nd half for an excellent start of the season. Something just not right there...

Good to see Charlie's 1st assist of the season. Good move from Suarez for the 1st goal. Downing was dangerous down the left flank and nearly scored a cracker. We should have been ahead 3-4 nil with the amount of attempts at goal. I wonder if Richardson should have been red carded?

When i looked at the line up, it looked strong..precisely it was experimental.. Give them time and space, if we can improve the passes and finishing , we will not be far from being at top 4. Kuyt made little impact, Enrique on the left were steady and superb.

Looking forward for the Arsenal game. A win would be great though.

Depth of squad is not an issue. The issue wasn't about team selection either. Selecting Agger and Enrique for defense was an excellent decision. Having Flanagan over on the right was a good idea. The only not-so-good idea was to have Henderson trotting up and down on the right flank when sunderland would press their advantage on our right where flanagan being young alone would have a really big job to stop 2 Sunderland forwards.

The same people here who condemned our players would have praised the same players when we win. I find such 'rants' by these same forumers baseless and ignorant of our players as well as the team situation currently.

Whether we win or lose, I will wear my colours proud. Support isn't blind faith like turning a blind eye towards mistakes, but there's nothing bad about talking about it with hopes of improving what's on the pitch.

I see more positives and for the first time I wasn't worried seeing any of our players subbed out, with exception of Suarez.

Sunderland took advantage of our fragility at the right back. Young Flano's mistake got highlighted because it has costed us a goal and we couldn't get away with it. Criticism on player is normal when people are expecting them to perform up to par with Liverpool's standard. Technical ability wise whether they will grow or not it's really up to them but we would be very happy if they do (like Lucas, he's now easily one of the most important players for liverpool)

Having said that I agree with the opinion that we should find a better way to utilize Henderson. If we don't we would be better off not using him at all and use someone else at the right flank. I also agree that we should not rely too much on Carroll's aerial ability. It would be great if Kenny can increase our options for attack in the next matches and solve our defensive issue as soon as possible. To be in top four when there are 6 big teams competing for 4 top spots, Liverpool must keep itself in a good shape and try not to lose points against teams like Sunderland.
