Hi, will there be any internship or industrial training for bachelor in business and commerce?

Civil engineering offered by Monash is not accredited by the board of engineers Malaysia? Hmmm

not in the course structure but you can plan/find your own

new course offered during 2013....the first batch students havent graduated yet..so cant get accredition ....but Monash Malaysia with its history of other engineering discipline+ Australia side ...should be no problem..

My friend taking civil...next year their class gonna be so small when we split the year 1 class into different discipline

hi..i have enrolled for the feb session 2014.. i would like to know what is going to happen during the orientation week and if it is necessary to attend all the 5 days of the orientation week?

Right i too will have the orientation week on feb 2014, and i feel first 2 days are for introduction , getting familiar with formalities and procedures, if i'm not sure isn't opening a bank account done the same week ? library and library access, I do see there's medical and xray to be done during orientation? I thought it was done the week before, that's why i'm flying in at least a week earlier. and hopefully get a bit of chinese new year celebrations.
I've just not registered myself for the buddy program , new place and i would absolutely want someone who's been there helping me during my initial few weeks.

seems the first 2-3 days will be hectic,

ah forgot to mention, campus tours a plus point ,since the university is huge,
lastly ,there's also introduction to the department you'll be studying , ie, engineering students go the dept of engineering , science students for science, arts students for arts, so you get to know your professors , lecturers and what is expected from both parties.

nobody can give an accurate answer no thanks to EMGS.just keep your finger crossed and pray it would be processed fast

i thought we're suppose to get a letter from the international student office and proceed to the bank, or is it something i have to do earlier before orientation?

Right i too spoke about it , but my agent had no clue since she mostly deals with australian monash students.
From what i gather, it does take 6-8 weeks , so if u gave your documents before december, u should be fine. Again since this is EMGS it can take longer.

However since i gather you might be an international applicant , be prepared to not have your passport after you land for about 2-3 months, because the international student office will take it with your xray and medical results and give it to EMGS for stamping of your one year student visa. It shouldn't take more than 2-3 weeks right , but no sorry it takes much much longer, and they cannot guarantee when it will be mailed or sent back after stamping.

However make copies of your passport so that u can have it around with you with your val and student id , the representative from monash told me it won't be an issue as long as u're within 5-10 kms the monash uni zone , however she did stress not to go to nightclubs or discos till u get the visa since the id will not be accepted there as valid document.

The police do know this, and many of them try and help out , however very few of them take bribes, and still haul your ass off to jail because no valid documents on you leads to arrest and detention. I do believe there was a post on lyn forums about someone who was missing , and people were scared that he was either killed or kidnapped, later they find out he's in jail for more than 3 days. I wonder , don't they at least verify what you're saying before you're thrown in jail?
