There is no need to callibrate the battery as the phone will auto detect the the battery and calculate the capacity and voltage by itself.

Hi all, I've decided to buy a SGS-II. And I have a question, is it worth to buy from Maxis together with the package?

No idea, BUT Samsung seems to be planning an official 2000mah INTERNAL battery pack for the phone (with a freakin full flat back), so it must be supported either inherently or through a future OS upgrade.

MAYBE.

Besides, I say again how in terms of batteries, I trust nobody besides Momax, Sedio and Mugen. And I've been having this battery discussion since my N900 days (Sunpower BL5J +400mah batteries with the same size - unless some Chinese factory have found out how to shrink electrons, pfft yeah right).

Yeah, flat and level with the hump at the bottom back, ALTHOUGH, it has also come to my attention that this WAS mentioned on Mobile-Review as one of the projects that Samsung CONSIDERED IN THE PAST before giving birth to the battery case monstrosity that I have right now.

So right now the ball is entirely in their court. Myself I'm hoping more that the SGS2 would appear in the US ALREADY so that PowerSkin can finally out a PROPER battery case for us.

It's either that or a bulge 3000mah battery + modded tpu case for me.

Added on July 26, 2011, 5:10 amI'm also getting considerably better WIFI performance with the KG3 modem compared to the KE4 I was using before.

Which is strange, as the modem isn't supposed to have ANYTHING to do with wifi performance.

on stock KG3, turned off wifi and data, only dropped 1% after 4 hours idle.

On Lite'ning Rom v4.0 XXKG3, no drop after 7 hours idling(sleeping)..

Been doing some searching and those ppl in US has no issues using an extended battery.. ive also noticed that battery monitor widget has an option to insert manually your battery mAh.. plus i read but i forgot the name that there is an app which allows u to insert profiles for two batteries.. i guess for sgs2 worth getting a 2nd battery cuz not that hard at all to change battery and the phone boots fast also. Guessed its called battery left pro or battery recalibrator somekind like that LOL..

Looking forward for an extra battery.. can anyone recommend a cheap but safe extra battery charging dock for sgs2? Its pain when u dont have time to charge both and need to alternate swap battery in to chargr every night.. maybe thats why samsung created the full battnotification ALARM

actually i did ask them for 1 to 1 exchange but they said they are not sales center, and can claim warranty oni...

after replace a new LCD, it seems ok for the first few days, later on, i notice that the screen have yellowish again at the left hand side...

dunno wan to go to sc again and ask for warranty...

Go again to sales centre, ask to speak to the manager then make a noise and DEMAND a new set. You pay RM2k already and shouldn't be suffered by the defect that is NOT from your own doing.

Guys, I have a weird experience today. not sure if anyone of you encountered it.

I just got my JIG last week and removing triangle was fine.

Yesterday I try remove the triangle and weird thing happen.

1. Off phone
2. Plug in JIG
3. Phone boot up and didn't enter download mode.

Did I just forgotten any steps? O.O

Lite'ning 4.1 is out... still in two minds whether to flash or not... quite happy with the stock kg3 rite now

Unable to download . Application not optimised for device(8002).

anyone faces the same thing?

guys, a noob question, will i lose all my data if i flash my SGS2 to litening 4.1? currently on stock KF1 rom with KG3 modem..

No (havent try for 4.1, but past versions experience, no data loss)
