Well, it all depends on whether you would want a larger screen or a more portable laptop nod.gif
The MSI is better in terms of performance, but the Asus comes with 2 years international warranty  laugh.gif

but how does the international warranty work?
hmm..wat about media buttons?
can't recall correctly about asus one..
is there any next/previous song button on both laptops?

Nope, but there is a row of shortcut button on MSI ones, maybe you can customise those. If you buy for entertainment the CR650 got high praise for having good sound quality from onboard speaker for such cheap laptops. More reviews of the laptop here

Yeah, it has throttling issues, especially evident if you're into gaming laugh.gif

The closest competitor would be the Asus U46Sv-WX023v, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M@RM2999[2.14kg]; USB3.0, Asus optical mouse

Or you could go for the Asus N43SL (normal/ JC version). Battery life should be around 5 hours iinm

My vote will go to Asus N55sf because of its overall better performance- better speakers, better GPU, better CPU, good HD+ resolution for design, 2 years international warranty etc.nod.gif But you'd have to live with the design and glossiness though haha~
AMD HD6740G2 is still weaker than the GT555m, but better than GT540m iinm

Asus laptops come with 2 years international warranty as standard, so noneed to fork out extra money to extend the warranty brows.gif
Considered this one yet?
Asus G53Sx-SZ039v, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GTX560M (2GB)@RM3999, backlit keyboard, gaming backpack & mouse

Runs on 8 cell batteries and shouldn't have any problems reaching 3 hours with Wifi and min power configurations. But you'd have to sacrifice in terms of portability yo haha~

Otherwise, (i) get the i5 variant (not i7, not worth it imho) of the N55sf OR (ii) Get the Dv6, then extend the warranty to international and you'd be good to go [or you can just buy it in UK as well] haha
*
Hmm, the G53Sx sounds good. Think it's available at ALL IT Hypermarket??
