My brother suggest Dell XPS 15/15z but if there is other laptops with smaller screen and backlit keyboard, I prefer that.

..... bro tj suggest vostro because it is 14 inch..... AND.... u can use remaining money to extend the warranty to 3 years..... ^^

I suggested Vostro 3350 (13") because he has the requirement "as small as possible" laugh.gif

Looking for netbook. Need a small easy to carry and not in bag, preferred to be in sleeve carryable as i'm alwiz on the go... need it for internet, emails and long battery life. wants a fast processing netbook...

price adjustable so long that i like the spec and the look of the netbook. any recommendation?

It's tough when I'm stingy as hell, and still want to maximise the very cents I'm spending.

Anyway...

1. Any is fine, but I value brands or at least brand's product lines with good build quality and is not known for their ability to break.

2. < RM 2,500. ( I don't mind peaking, but lesser the better, I guess. )

3. All-rounder. I would say 50% office work with some specialised programmes, but nothing as taxing as CAD/PS and 50% gaming of current gen games at low-res, medium/low textures.

4. 14" and below. ( Not that there's any below 14" in my budget range that allows for my usage preferences. )

If I were to add, I'm looking for a synergy of :

a. Good build quality. I'm not expecting business-class durability, but at least something that would stand wear and tear.

b. Decent battery life. For low brightness + casual usage, something that could last at least or more than 4/5 hours. Better if there's an 8-cell option.

c. Performance. In all fairness... gaming is not that important, but it'd be nice if I could get something to squeeze out that extra mile for entertainment on the go.

P.S. Looking around, I saw that the TimelineX 3830/4830TG fits my requirements almost ideally, but I'm also hearing problems in regards to throttling when running the temperatures high during gaming or GPU/CPU intensive programmes. Plus I'm not sure about the build quality despite the nice aluminium finish.

Also, are Llano-powered laptops a viable value competitor against the SB laptops? They seem significantly cheaper while still being able to dish out a lot of performance... yet there are so little in-depth reviews and feedback in the 'complete' package of a Llano laptop be it battery life, balance performance, etc.

Asus N43SL, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M@RM2699[2.4kg][Bang & Olufsen] *No USB3.0
This one is the best all rounder for the price at the moment~
Good overall performance, nice speakers, good looks and built etc.
Just bargain, shouldn't be a problem getting it for RM2.5k brows.gif
