most likely use connector for that size
but maybe Bandai may use MG SF beam sabers connection design, cross-link type

So I tried asking HLJ to get spare parts for me but after a few weeks, they said won't be possible, their spare parts dept is indefinitely unavailable..

Anyone know of any proxies there that can help with spare parts? I tried a couple, no luck so far..

i mean sure, u guys can definitely chat about gunpla and then go into PVC and modelling techniques and hey! why not discuss about somebody's avatar or signature while u're at it?

ok la since uols wan make it this way, so be it lor; where the objective of the tered is now to race towards 2500 posts and make new versions every week.

i can't say much cos i don't even contribute much stuffs these days. so i'll STFU and GTFO liao

Alright boys and girls, enough with the "how to post in this thread" comments and back to gunpla please.
Some questions about the Amatsu:

1. Are the ankle joints flimsy? My Blue Frame's ankles are. And with the high heels, is it still as easy as the Red Frame (with flat feet) for standing poses?

2. Is the torso/waist joint strong enough to support the backpack? Again, my Blue Frame has the tendency to tilt backwards when the tactical arms is attached.

3. Still with the backpack - is it still attached via a single polycap joint? Blue Frame does, and no way can it support the weight of the tactical arms hence it sags downwards.

4. How about the head? Seems like there are many individual pieces that may be attached loosely. The Blue Frame's face armour tends to get knocked off easily, and the semicircular piece beneath the chin pops out if you rotate it too much.

5. And how about the other tiny pieces such as the red pieces on the thighs? My Blue Frame is the one that has most broken parts - right shoulder joint, the little orange pieces on the thighs, the hand pegs. doh.gif

As you can already tell, the 1/100 Blue Frame is full of flaws... Or maybe mine's a lemon?
Actually no, the RG Strike made me appreciate the MG version even more.

RG has too many unnecessary panel lines and it doesn't come with the catapult !
*
1. The ankle joints are pretty firm, both Blue Frame and Gold Frame Amatsu, regardless of the high hill smile.gif
2. The torso/waist joint have no problem as they are connected with a peg instead of ball joints. Is just that the common flaw for SEED related mecha is that they have huge backpack and sometime is too back-heavy, being it NG or MG.
3. The backpack is connected to the body with 2 polycap, like Red Frame.
4. The head is pretty alright... at least is better compare to the chin piece on Blue Frame tongue.gif But we could always glue it wink.gif
5. Broken parts? there are many small pieces but none broken so far wink.gif

The 1/100 Blue Frame is alright to me as I have 1 myself. It is just personal expectation, especially when you compare it with the MG version, MG will always be better. (I do not have the MG Blue Frame but I'm sure you would have the same problem if you are attaching the tactical arm to it's back wink.gif)

Cheers cool2.gif

I experienced buying spare part b4, but the process might be diff but below is for your reference only:

QUOTE
1. I ordered directly from Bandai, bandaiactionkit@bandai.co.jp

2. I ordered MG spare parts, they charged me 1000 yens for the item. They will give you entire runner, not the particular part. However, for 1 of my friend's case, Bandai give him by free.

3. I use a singapore website, vPost: https://www.vpost.com.sg, registered that website and they will give you 1 Japan address, ask Bandai to deliver the item there since Bandai's policy is strictly Japan only.

4. Pay for the delivery fees, around SGD 15++, but I got first time customer discount so ended up paid SGD3.55 for it.

5. Ask VPost to send it to my friend's home. When my friend back, ask him to bring it over.

Anyway this is what I did, you might want to ask around if there're any more straight forward/ simple solution.

cheers.gif

If you guys really want this to be an extension of the /k/ subforum, then so be it. Sigh.
Won't mention anything anymore cause as usual, the majority wins.

Sounds like a real good option..so vPost sent the package from Japan to your friend's house here? And your communication with Bandai was in English from start to end? How long did it take for them to respond to you?

Thanx for your idea, this could really help us a lot here who can have occasional butterfingers sweat.gif sweat.gif

GGInfinite a.k.a. gundam guy ships from the US, so might not exactly be cost efficient. Might be cheaper to befriend gaijin online and eventually see if he's willing to tumpang. most of them hang around gundam australia forum and are very helpful.

Yea true I found out from their website, California. Will look at Vorador's options and see how that one goes. sweat.gif

EDIT: Vorador, the vPost website registration is only for Singaporeans? Tried registering, couldn't create an account sad.gif

... I think he is not showing WIP kit, its completed gundam model kit with some nice pose. rclxms.gif

IMO I would love to see this type of posting. to appreciate the hard work (and maybe poison myself for more gunpla hunting tongue.gif )

... unless there's a thread which can post the completed kit photo in LYN... do we have it? maybe senior can share share if we did.
