QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Jul 17 2011, 06:58 PM) Alright boys and girls, enough with the "how to post in this thread" comments and back to gunpla please. 1. The ankle joints are pretty firm, both Blue Frame and Gold Frame Amatsu, regardless of the high hill Some questions about the Amatsu: 1. Are the ankle joints flimsy? My Blue Frame's ankles are. And with the high heels, is it still as easy as the Red Frame (with flat feet) for standing poses? 2. Is the torso/waist joint strong enough to support the backpack? Again, my Blue Frame has the tendency to tilt backwards when the tactical arms is attached. 3. Still with the backpack - is it still attached via a single polycap joint? Blue Frame does, and no way can it support the weight of the tactical arms hence it sags downwards. 4. How about the head? Seems like there are many individual pieces that may be attached loosely. The Blue Frame's face armour tends to get knocked off easily, and the semicircular piece beneath the chin pops out if you rotate it too much. 5. And how about the other tiny pieces such as the red pieces on the thighs? My Blue Frame is the one that has most broken parts - right shoulder joint, the little orange pieces on the thighs, the hand pegs. As you can already tell, the 1/100 Blue Frame is full of flaws... Or maybe mine's a lemon? Actually no, the RG Strike made me appreciate the MG version even more. RG has too many unnecessary panel lines and it doesn't come with the catapult ! 2. The torso/waist joint have no problem as they are connected with a peg instead of ball joints. Is just that the common flaw for SEED related mecha is that they have huge backpack and sometime is too back-heavy, being it NG or MG. 3. The backpack is connected to the body with 2 polycap, like Red Frame. 4. The head is pretty alright... at least is better compare to the chin piece on Blue Frame 5. Broken parts? there are many small pieces but none broken so far The 1/100 Blue Frame is alright to me as I have 1 myself. It is just personal expectation, especially when you compare it with the MG version, MG will always be better. (I do not have the MG Blue Frame but I'm sure you would have the same problem if you are attaching the tactical arm to it's back Cheers |

QUOTE(Odinn @ Jul 18 2011, 12:29 PM) I may be mistaken, that was couple weeks ago, didn't bother looking at it again I'm pretty sure the Metal Build is very close to Chokogin, if not equivalent Since you two are surprised, then I'd think memory failed me here But other than my memory failing me, what're the pros of the Metal Build over the normal MG editions? My Gundam Bersih v2.0 still in progress [attachmentid=2336464] Damn... The finishing is very nice... I can see myself from the reflection of the right leg armour! If you want to use thinner or the zippo lighter fluid, best test it on your runner first.

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Jul 20 2011, 12:13 PM) Integrated weapons are gimmicks rather than practical paraphernalia. Don't know about the rest but I think the dart is due to Blitz's special ability... the cloaking with mirage particles... using beam weapon would disclose Blitz but using the dart, since it does not take energy from the main mecha, would prevent this, I supposed The Blitz's Trikeros system is the worst offender. Combining your gun, your beam sabre, and your shield into one item means (1) you can only do one thing at once, shoot OR block OR slash (2) if you lose that weapon you lose everything. Yes, the claw/anchor is useless (3) Why do you even need darts when you have a beam gun? A missile pod or more ammo clips would be a wiser choice. Same with Exia's gunblade. You can either shoot, or slash. Not both. At least the Exia has a separate shield and lots of backup blades. As gorgeous as the Blitz looks, it is one of the more useless designs in CE. The ugliest however, goes to Raider. No competition here. |

QUOTE(Vordelis @ Aug 9 2011, 09:24 AM) MG Delta Plus released just a week ago, but GA fb said they only have it at the end of the month or early Sept, checked with GT and xl-shop website, no sign of it. Well, normally it would take 3 - 4 weeks after official release before any new model kit would hit our store unless our hobby shops bring in by air, which would be sold in a higher price. Do check out with AF Hobby, as I have observed that they do get stock (sometime) before Litt Tak even start distributing them... they might not have advertised on the website so do call in and inquire.anyone here see MG Delta Plus in any store around? I would advise to wait, unless you are willing to pay a higher price... good example is 00R... at the start it was RM250 a piece, but now only RM205. |
