Yup, to get started, I would say .. search for the existing guide(s). There are quite a lot, go and find one specific to the motherboard/graphics card, that will surely ease things up.

ok, i got myself a hackintosh on a old computer specs below
Core 2 Quad Q8400
Foxconn X38A
4GB Ram
80GB HDD
MSi GTX660Ti
installation is pretty easy and not big trouble, but problem comes in when i loss my audio and internet access

for the audio, there is no sound and i have installed "ACL8xx without DSDT" in multibeast, but i still didnt get my sound

for internet access, i was using a wireless usb dongle (TP-link), but i guess this does not work for Mac OS X, any idea i can get back internet connection? heard need a PCi wireless card...
need all sifu help, i am stuck with no sound and internet access

well for sound u can try to install voodooHDA. ...

1st wat version osx u install on it ?? (so can't help u on audio problem)

After i check ur mono spec......X38 mobo SB chipset ICH9 will a bit problem for u to run stable ..did mobo bios support sata AHCI mode ??
Need to find a kext for ICH9 IOATAFamily.kext which is patch for support ML ...i no think inside multibeast got this files

New hackintosh user report here:
me installed Mac 10.8.2 into my HP Dragon laptop (20.1 inch display).
(It is now a Macbook with 20.1 inch display screen ! )

But I have to use parameter GraphicsEnabler=No, so the screen resolution is only 1024x768.
This laptop uses ATI display card - Mobility Radeon HD 2600 XT, look like there is no way to get a Mac ATI card driver for this model.
Another problem is the screen brightness is very dark when it is running on battery and no way to increase the brightness.

On internet, i am able to install Maxis's USB HSPA modem on the laptop and than create configuration setting to use other ISP (any ISP can be configure in that modem's connection software).

For sound, i haven't try to install any driver yet.

Just installed mountain lion on my hackintosh.. But currently got problem with wifi.. Is it possible to install 2 wireless devices on hackintosh. I already installed ralink rt3070 wifi n its working. N i wanna to instal dlink dwa-110 (ralink rt2570).
But when i installed the 2nd driver.. Rt3070 canno detected anymore. Is there any software like connectify for mac?

My spec:
Intel q9400
Gigabyte p35-ds3
2gb ram
