OSX 10.8.5 is up! BUT DO NOT update it!
It broke a lot of things like Bluetooth no working, USB3, Sound and cause problems like stuck at Apple logo bootscreen.

Lucky you.
What I want to say it. This 10.8.5 will most likely cause more trouble than previous ML update..
Update at own risk as alway. smile.gif

I did an upgrade from the combo update and updated my sound using multibeast, everything seems to work alright. I don't have USB3 nor bluetooth, so no problem with them.

10.8.4 is the perfect spot for hackintosh and for some reason, 10.8.5 seems to be more of a laptop update. It somehow fixed the slow bluetooth connectivity on my MBP 13 biggrin.gif

Dont update if 10.8.4 isnt failing anything on you.

The USB3 problem had solve with updated kext. See below reply from stork (From tonymac86). I might test on my clone drive first tongue.gif

Updated
I recommend the Combo update instead of the store incremental update.  My procedure is to
  1. Repair Permissions using the Disk Utility on the drive to be updated;*
  2. Backup your current system with Time Machine or Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper!;
  3. If you're using the "USB 3 - Universal" (Zenith432's GenericUSBXHCI.kext), remove it from S/L/E folder**;
  4. Run the Combo Update - don't reboot yet;
  5. Run MultiBeast to reload only the audio driver;
  6. Download the GenericUSBXHCI.kext and install using Kext Utility;
  7. Repair Permissions again;* and
  8. Reboot

NOTICE: Hawell owners are not having success with this update.  Before trying to update, backup your 10.8.4 Haswell Helper system. If the update doesn't work, try a fresh install by
  • restoring your 10.8.4 Haswell Helper installation;
  • go to the MAS and download the Install Mountain Lion app (it's now 10.8.5), using Option-Click on the Purchase menu item;
  • prepare a UniBeast USB thumb drive; and
  • making sure your backup is current, do a fresh install.
If this doesn't work, restore your 10.8.4 Haswell Helper installation and wait for updating news.  Being an early adapter is hell sometimes.

* You can use the Terminal instead of Disk Utility if you feel comfortable with a UNIX command:
CODE
sudo diskutil repairPermissions /

** Zenith432's GenericUSBXHCI.kext has been reported to cause Kernel Panels on some motherboards after the update.

Just finish updated to 10.8.5 on my Main HDD.

So far all work well: Audio (ALC887), Bluetooth (Belkin), USB2.0/3.0, Sleep, Nvidia gtx770 all worked.

What I did:
Download the 10.8.5 combo file
Backup some of the current kexts: AppleACPIPlatform.kext, AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext, FakeSMC.kext, IOUSBFamily.kext. Just in case need to roll back.
Repair permission
Remove GenericUSBXHCI.kext
Remove npci=0x3000 kernel flag on existing org.chameleon.Boot.plist
Install the combo file. DONT restart yet.
Optional step: Rollback some kext. For my case, I rollback AppleACPIPlatform.kext since it gave me KP on my previous attempt
Repair permission again.
Reboot.

I can boot up without any problem. Once make sure everything is ok and worked. I ran multibeast 5.4.3 and install the audio kext.
reboot. All worked.

New nvidia web driver just update. Now is version: 313.01.03f01. Auto prompt up after first reboot, download, install, repair permission. Reboot.
