QUOTE(hiryuu @ Aug 29 2011, 10:57 AM) May I know your logic behind this ??Perhaps you should view this comparison at between Maxis, Digi and Celcom: http://www.yes.my/v2/say-yes/buy-yes.do The attractiveness of YES is NOT on its cheaper data rates but its download speeds - it is amazing fast ; in KL you can easily get minimum 3 times and up to even 10 times faster than 3G/HSPDA download speeds Even my place which is poor signal areas ( red light ) =- it is 1.5-2 times faster than my home Streamyx and Celcom /Digi 3G. In good reception I get minimum 5-6 times faster download vs 3G This post has been edited by benny888: Aug 29 2011, 11:15 AM |

i am a yes huddle user and maxis broadband user... yup, there's no denying that yes speed is amazing compared to other broadband, however if you are a heavy user i dont recco it, even yes guys doesnt recco it... its not suitable for downloading stuff... my gf was using her ipad + huddle, and it cost her around 180 a month on a value pack just to view youtube, downloading apps and many more... as for me, once i swap my bband with my gf's yes huddle, the 68 valuepack still has a lot of balance in it... my logic was based on my own experience, but yes is all about value if you consider the speed, call time and smses u get...but the faster you want, the more you pay... and the more you use, the more you pay as the model is based on pay per use or valuepack... just my 2cen

The Tab 10.1 has NO calls capability . I have been seeing this question being ask so many times. Wait for 8.9 Tab or buy the 7" tab if you wish to make phone calls
All the talk of someone hacking it to make calls is also BS as it is not designed to make calls The YES Huddle is quite small, just like those old Nokia handphone about 4.5X2.5 inch. If you can carry a 10" tablet, why not another small handphone. The YES huddlew has 2 obvious disadvantages: battery life 5 hours and uit gets obvious hot in use ( average 40+ to 50 degree centigrade) I use the YES huddle mainly one reason , SPEED amazingly fast and my data usage seldom exceed 3 GB/month so the monthly plan of RM 68 is just nice for me. Use it and you will not want to use your telco 3G simcard anymore for data download |

Just like some users want to use the 10" Tab as a GPS - still cannot understand the rationale ??
I don't even use my 7" tab to make calls or as a GPS - it is just too big and cumbersome There is a saying - right tool for the right job Anyway for those who are interested , so far I tested just as an academic exercise, only Sygic Aura works on it |

Added on August 29, 2011, 12:24 pm QUOTE(benny888 @ Aug 29 2011, 12:22 PM) I have 3 portable charges which I can use for this Tab when I am out of town on the road. The 3 are : Yoobao YB602 ( 4800 maH), Yoobao YB603 ( 11200 maH) and Energizer XP4001 ( 5000 maH). Which one I used depend on how long I will be possibly away from a power source. All 3 performs very well This post has been edited by benny888: Aug 29 2011, 12:37 PMAnyway I find this Tab battery life is very good; based on my usage I estimate if used continuously, say on browsing 10-12 hours is not a problem, can easily match my previous ipad The YB602 has only one USB port - max 1A power output The YB 603 has 2 USB ports : max 1 A power and max 2 A over the 2 ports. So if use charge the Tab, the other port can be used to charge smartphone sametime The XP4001 has 2 USB ports , max 2 A power over 2 ports. Best is the YB603 as it offers a single 2A power output which is best for the Tab |
