I don't know about d7000
But on the d90/d300s it doesn't vignette
Its made of 3 components but Shashinki now selling them as bundle already..

Link: http://shashinki.com/shop/nikon-rubber-eye...5pro-p-182.html

If the viewfinder holder of d7000's the same with d90 then this should fit! RM145 only..

QUOTE(celciuz @ Sep 5 2011, 10:28 PM)
Sold in components? Sweet the bracket for mine broke -.- my friend la.. last time borrow him use my D90 then the bracket slipped and someone stepped on it T_T
*
I'm not sure about this, I mean the viewfinder holder. Anyone could help to clarify if the combo would able to fit on D7000 without vignetting?

Well, u can order; cause I don't have a d7000 with me..
After u use then if it give vignetting then sell it to me loh..
I have another d90 body.. Can use it
I buy 2 sets, each for the d300s and d90 and both doesn't give vignetting..

QUOTE(Everdying @ Sep 5 2011, 11:44 PM)
depends if u wear glasses or not.
even if u dont, my friend complains it vignettes abit.

anyway, RM145 abit expensive...J-one iirc sells the set at RM110.
*
Nope, I don't wear glasses. J-One is offering the same package of items at RM110? Maybe I could check it out there since ArmCorp Mall is much nearer to me smile.gif

what's the best sdhc card type (class) that cab be used for d5100? class 6 enough ah?  hmm.gif
*
I find Sandisk Extreme HD 30Mbps Class 10 is already sufficient. I have 2 of them. If you're using Class 2 or Class 4, you'll feel lagging when viewing RAW files on the camera itself.

QUOTE(celciuz @ Sep 6 2011, 06:33 PM)
Still RM6950? I remember can get about RM6800 already. Btw, I paid that price back at March 2010.
*
If I'm not mistaken, yeah... But that's the asking price, yet to bargain for it.

she didnt plan to change body, just need a all-rounder lens.  unsure.gif

There is no One Ultimate All Rounder Lens as you may wished or wanted. Photography is very subjective, preference can be from many views, aspect, likeliness, habit, attitude, etc. What that fits one will not fit all. Some prefer sharpness, some prefer bokehliciousness, some prefer versatile reach, some prefer contrast, some prefer lightweight... and many more.

If your friend know not about Nikon Centre at Berjaya Times Square that has a library of lenses for testing, bring her there and help her to decide which suits best for her. What I mean by help, is explaining the differences between the lenses rather than telling her what to pick base on your judgement. Don't be surprise you'll learn something too in the process.

A friend of mine from HK looked for me last week (via chatting) stating that he's interested to get a DSLR. After almost a week of discussion and explanation, he bought Panasonic Lumix LX5 few days ago and he's damn happy with the purchase for not making the wrong decision. People tends to make wrong decision for insufficient understanding smile.gif

I started using nissin 622 mk ii recently. When taking continuous shots with it, the photo outcome looks a little different. Some r exposed correctly, some r under, some r over. No change for ISO, aperture, shutter speed. Anyone encounter this before?

If i only take 1 photo at a time, the flash exposure seems to be just right.
*
Probably due to the flashgun's cycle time (or lag time). It happens when your flashgun couldn't cycle fast enough to match with your continuous shots therefore the reason some of it look different exposure due to lag of power or incorrect sync speed. It's common for all flashgun even the top class SB-900.

QUOTE(iXora.ix @ Sep 11 2011, 06:00 PM)
i dont know..but if me, if you can get d7000, i bet you take d7000.
more function, motorize AF so on so on...pro look...

but d5100 also good. deym light that d7000.
if you hanging d7000 on your neck,it will hurt if hanging for a long time flex.gif
*
It's very subjective if you state that it'll hurt the neck if hanging for a period of time. If you do, try look for alternative strap than the original such as Crumpler's Industry Disgrace which provides more comfort pad around the neck.

I can hang the D7000 + BG + 17-55 on my neck for an entire day without complaining neck hurt. Well, in between I switch hanging in front or sideway smile.gif

QUOTE(michealelsie @ Sep 11 2011, 11:24 PM)
Hello everybody. I am new here. Just bought a D5100. I had took some pictures with M mode. However I am still not familiar with the setting between aperture and shutter speed. What I have done was zoom in/out and took pictures based on the "brightness line" which the indicator remain around 0. Also still unable to control the focus points and etc. sad.gif

Sometimes when taking pictures at low light environment or maybe the object was moving, the shutter speed will be very slow and the object appears in my picture will be ery blur.

Is there any guidance for a newbie like me? Thanks ya.
*
Try not jump into 'M' mode right away. Google and learn about the Exposure Triangle which consist of 3 elements namely Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO. Then toggle between 'A' and 'S' mode to get more understanding about it. Only when you completely understands how each element effect each other, then you can start practising 'M' mode. Just my 2 cents.

It is TTL + radio which is why it is pricey, another brand is similar is the Radiopopper but it doesn't come to Malaysia as it violates certain law (radio signal thingy).

SU800 have TTL, but its optical (IR), and most other cheap triggers are radio trigger but no TTL (full manual on flash).
*
Phottix's Pocket Wizard Compatible Trigger <-- what does this mean actually? Pocket Wizard is a product by its own?

Celcuiz, are you using any trigger? smile.gif

Change your angle and composition.

then had to rely on Live view right? or when not enough tall, you had to rely on Live view also right?  unsure.gif
Get a stool. I'm sure you seen photographer carry ladder with them other than tripod.

that's why i ask that XDDD

cannot meh? why concern on other thing if we want to enlight the father feeling? why cannot chop mother head if we want to make it mysterious? like, who is the mother? it can makes people see further ur picture just to know who is the mother... well that my thought.
*
Well, that's just my perspective as I mentioned. Photography is very subjective, it never has everything right or wrong.

For me, pregnancy shots bring the feeling of "family" and "togetherness". Given it's me, I would prefer to put all of them in. Otherwise to make the highlight of father's feeling, I would only capture most the "stomach" part.

Again, that's just me. Perhaps your client like it that way smile.gif

I would shoot a tighter crop for this. But since your client loves such style, so its ok I guess. This reminds me of a similar photo, posted sometime ago here too. Wedding day and 1 row of people got their head beheaded cropped off.
*
Same goes with me, "tighter crop". That's a better definition biggrin.gif

Haha... same here, I recalled the same photo the moment I saw that too. Another one is the wedding gown hanging way high and taken from low angle.

sigma has a wider angle = 77mm
nikon = 52mm

doesn't that give the sigma a wider angle ?
*
By any chance, did you tried to shoot them from the same spot using both lenses and then compare the "angle" ? shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif

Note: Best if the body sets on a tripod to ensure no position change during the test.

well, its not mind, my sifu borrow to me, while he use 70-200 and a wide angle

Imo, its the best lens i have used to far, hahhaa i so far use kit lens, 50mm 1.8g, 70-200 and this lens only.

Worth the money imo. its DX however.

I see those event photographer, left side, D3s with 70200, right hand D300 with 14-24

gosh, so inspiring.

It seems like gears inspiring you than the final work? biggrin.gif
