FullHD need to go with XPS 15..

550 is better than 540 cuz higher clock rates
555 is better than 550 cuz ^ ramclock, and core clock
im using n53sn i7, 4 gb ram, which is always full..
western countries hav the lux of having bluray n fulhd..
we asians hav hd n dvd super combo.
soofar the only prob now is the bottleneck for my HDD.. hdd cannot load stuff soo the speed is not utelised to max. finding a cheap ssd or 7200

Does anyone knows how to control the CPU fan speed on N43JM laptop?

Mine is running at full speed. Been going on like this for 2 days already.

Change to power saver in Power4Gear ?

change to passive cooling?

That's why I'm also confused. Normally, the quiet mode or battery saving mode, the laptop is very quite. Now, it's so noisy with full fan speed.

Can you show HWMonitor screenshot ?

the gt540m card is..an ok card right?

it's a mainstream card... haha.. nt high.. nt low... used by all of us that need normal graphic capability.. haha...

go higher up.. it will be those that want high performance gaming... all things at ultra uber high... or run photoshop for a living
go further down... it wil be those that just surf web and flash games....


for the rest is us.. that use 540m.. haha

just realize....can shutdown, can hibernate.....but cannot sleep using the latest driver with SM/SF

@cym, did you do any bios update or driver update ?
Is the fan start at full speed since you press power button ?
