registry too much games, when do assignments n work veli slow,
lappie cannot sleep, hibernate n shutdown!!! veri siao...
I SHUTDOWN 5 sec, reboot.. then shutdown, then reboot!!... i crazy when do assignments..REFORMAT!!!! muahahaha
i reformated, install atk, camera, splendit, fast boot, p4g,nvidia, intel hd3000 all no problem
MY guess is that the problem lies in the audio driver..cuz i didnt touch it and my lappie slept like a baby in the rain

@trance, lol i only found out after downloading like 15 gb of movies soo lappie no sleep more than a week. finis sleep, cannot sleep... insomia..
@ivan cc cleaner does helps but some major errors like multiple updates from firefox from 4.0-4.5-5beta-5.0realease-5.1 really killed my surfing cappabilities, i got soo many games and photo editors but realised i play lesser games and cs5 ps is what i used the most soo insted of finding this n that to clean, i wipe the area.. but my luck was zero as my isp decided to do cable work soo it too me long to find an internet source to update and download previous programs..

damn my bad, I just checked it again...yup its silver. Sorry bout that..haha I immediately skipped to part 2...the insides are black outside's silver

has anyone encountered any problems with Optimus when running certain games or 3d applications such as 3dsmax, maya and photoshop ?

like is it possible to turn Optimus off in Asus laptops ? Just doing some research guys, hope you guys dont mind helping out. So disappointed with my amd/ati radeon-equipped hp dv6 so opting for a Nvidia card for my openGL softwares. so Im being extra-careful/prepared..thanks

Optimus cannot be turned off, even if you managed to turn it off, you are left with Intel HD..

uninstall ur realetek driver then use the preinstalled drivers in e-drivers to reinstall.. tat 1 safest..

Added on July 21, 2011, 9:21 amgoing mobile on nvidia optimus?.. well i kinda set it to max power running those apps soo it doesnt crash.. files <5 gb shud runn nicely on balance <1gb on intel is fine..10gb>run nvidia max power, power saving all off. cuz itz damm slow and my presentation nearly died

Optimus is one of the best thing Nvidia came out with , because of Optimus i can archieve 5hrs +++++
So far, for me la....no problem. Sometime when play some games ex. NFS, optimus set the GPU to be Intel and not Nvidia....but all that can be set using the Nvidia Control Panel.

There's no way you can turn off Optimus....the only way to use Nvidia the whole time is by changing the Global Settings. This is not recommended if your on Battery.

I can hibernate ... but without the batt in it...

i use 550gt but memory i cannot really check mem leak cuz i use hellloads of memory sooo leaking doesnt make any diff
i scratch disks when doing cs5 psd files getting more ram but will still not be enuf
soo far ps didnt crash on me while working soo itz great stuff, nt sure about 540gt..

oh right..thanks for the clarification. on the nvidia forums ( http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showforum=211 ) , a few are experiencing issues with games with the Optimus technology and coincidentally too onasus laptops ..and theres a section/thread on nvidia/optimus with Autodesk softwares like 3dsmax and maya

on a sidenote, the N series in Malaysia doesnt come with FULL HD huh? cause on the notebookreview forum, some with the N i7 series have FULL HD on their laptops

ah, thanks springfall. What's your asus laptop model ? Im new to all these mobile graphics card...so is the 550gt better than the 540 ? or lower the number the better? cant be right lol
