most trouble some for me is 1st step. rooting it using superoneclick. (coz phone need to download driver and detecting in pc 1st)

after 2nd init. its just like eat maggi only la..

copy ROM.zip and wipe data/reset. straight install.

finish already rite..

i also bought my Atrix battery from ebay. already post out but still waiting it. dunnow when wil arrive.

bcoz our defy can say among the simplest and worry free from bricking it.
use 2nd init 1.4 sure can finish it in 10min only

i also just bought 3, but some antiglare one with additional anti fingerprint coating. costed me almost rm20, but waiting for it to arrive. hope not kena cheated by marketing talk though

yup.

windows 8..
stable enuff for daily use. even in developer preview. i play dota/MW3/NFS RUN round after round without any lag/ crash at all.
software also can install and use without problem.

so far only my Logitech keyboard still dun have driver/software update for its LCD.

bro pls benchmark your defy + and see how much your score with quadrant or antutu.

im just fixed the battery charging stuck at ~85% even after 4 hours of charge..  now my battery percentage showed 99%

Actually Brightstar is not the one doing the service. Phones being serviced under Brightstar are sent to PhoneWorx which is a 3rd party company to service. How bad? Dust under screen, smudges under screen etc but these all depends on luck coz apparently they have many technicians and depends on which technician yours is being handled by, your luck may be different. The first time i sent mine in under warranty to replace the faulty earpiece was fine, even completed overnight. The 2nd time i sent for service which i pay for due to cracked screen, was crap. You can check a few pages back on my complaints. Don't want to repeat myself again. But in the end they managed to fix my problem at least.

Btw, the Defy is slow due to the stock ROM, flash it to something else and the magic happens! And you said you got bad experience with the dealer, mind sharing? I bought my Defy from him plus after that i bought a Huawei X5 which i returned and exchanged for a brand new set 3 days later coz i suspected it was faulty(which i later found out isn't)

And i see you plan to send yours to warranty. Well, since its a hardware issue, you can go there and specially request to meet the technician and request him to just fix the screen without touching the software bit. Thats what i did when i sent mine for warranty due to the earlier batch having faulty earpieces. I went there, request the counter girl to let me talk to the tech then tell him the situation. He said no problem and can close one eye and just do the warranty. At least thats what happened to me. The phone was completely reflashed before i sent it in and i didn't even bother backing up lol. But still its better if you do since shit happens, like the 2nd time i sent for warranty, once they fix the screen, they discovered they somehow couldn't boot the phone due to unknown reasons and just proceeded in flashing a brand new rom for me

went to service center yesterday, holy mother... i keep thinking my office is the most messy. they don't even have motorola, brightstar or service center sign, only "handphone repair shop" sign, that you can see all over pertama, with ugly grill using solex to lock. arrived at 9:15am, apparently they are the only service center to start at 10am. no counter, only 2 writing tables, and one girl damn busy arranging stuffs that i have to wait solid 10 minutes for her. then when i start showing her my phone, she got distracted due to stuff that she still need to do.

cannot repair due to CNY and she advise me to send in after 30th. cannot wait and go buy new phone. i'm selling it on ebay now.

call sunway pyramid number, nobody pick up, call mobile number in imcc website, he gave me the guy's mobile. then call and ask, said will get back to me. after 8 hours no news, call again and ask how long will he take just to ask his HQ whether got stock or not. so this time he sms me in 5 minutes will send it the next day. come day after tomorrow, got Defy battery instead of Defy+ battery, even tell him specifically "saya mau itu 1700ma punya, bukan defy punya" when i pay him.

now motorola (beside lg and sony) is in my blacklist. come on lah, at least ask those people at phoneworx to tidy up their office lah.

lol.... maybe i can buy one more and change address to ur adress if u want to!
