need to wait a few more days again coz the technician not there. Hopefully can get a new casing replacement

u mean the btm part of ur fone? i think they purposely do dat cuz they see ur fone edi...
later they claimed its already lidat dun1 replace for u then GG

Well, i have a photo of it before i sent it in so that's proof lol. And its pretty damn obvious its tool marks as if from a prying tool or something.

The lady at the counter also didn't know about it until i pointed it out when i was looking at the device. She brought the device back in and went MIA for like 5 minutes then said i have to leave it there again coz the technician is not there. So most probably they're gonna change the casing gua. No idea how they gonna solve that unless they give me 50% rebate off the screen replacement or something

yai! untung lah u...it would be more likely they change the case for u rater than 50% off cuz i think changing case would be cheaper

This is the second case with phoneworx. My phone was like that also but not that bad. I made a report and complaint to Brightstar and later to Motorola Singapore. Because brightstar and phoneworx is being a b!tch. Complain punya complain, they replaced me with a new Defy.

Phoneworx. This is not the first time! I lost my faith with Motorola in malaysia after my ordeal with phoneworx. So no more motorola for me. At least until they provide better service.

Yours warranty so its considered 'free' i guess. Mine i'm actually gonna pay RM300 for the screen replacement and i get this kinda service?

The first time i sent my phone to warranty was due to the common earpiece problem. The earpiece itself got no problem but upon checking on the spot, noticed that the tech forgot to screw back one of the screws on the side. For that case it doesn't really bother me so much coz i noticed the problem on the spot and he just fitted the screw back in.

Now i'm sending for service and they somehow can get tool marks all over the bottom bezel and some on the side bezel too. I'll just wait for them to call me again when my phone is done and see what they'll do. Only way to rectify it is to change a whole new casing for me. We shall see what they'll come up with.

horrible terrible workmanship...the technician probably didn't know better and used flat screwdriver to remove your digitiser...

Phoneworx technicians are really idiots. Really tak boleh pakai one. Email brightstar and see what they have to say. Have to report it la. In this thread it self also got 2 people with these kind of problems already. I wonder how is it with other defy owners.

Hey guys I bought Defy Plus for my dad and trying to help him transfer his contacts.

is there a way to delete all the contacts in the Defy Plus listing? The transfer canceled halfway, I dun want later when I transfer again I'll get multiple contacts =A=;

login to gmail and then manage contacts from there..

Just got back my phone.

Heres what happened

This morning 10am called them. Counter girl said my phone isn't ready yet, the screen is fixed but the phone can't boot. Says stuck at the M logo there. I said nevermind, i'll go there immediately. Once i arrived, the counter girl told me sorry, cannot do anything already coz yesterday the tech already flashed the phone eventhough i told her specific instructions to NOT touch the firmware as I had done many things to it already. She claimed that they changed the screen only and did not touch the firmware but for some unknown reason the phone cannot boot after that and they were forced to flash it

So in the end, now i got a phone with screen and top bezel replaced, a brand new Froyo firmware flashed to it, RM280 poorer and hours will be lost flashing it again and my messages which accounts to around 6000+ are all gone forever

Nothing can be done la. I'm surprised that they did not insist that you backup the data first. Usually these service centres will not take your phone if there's data inside because they will not want to be blamed for data leaks and data theft.
