Can anyone recommend me app that enables offline GPS as I need to use it with the Transformer for trip.

I am still in between Asus TF and Ipad2 ..... but now a bit scare about Asus already, my brother punya Asus Garmin phone rosak many times

you can try the updated google maps which allows you to select an area to cache, but the area is limited to a 10 mile radius only..not sure if can choose more than 1 area, but u can check it out.

Just received the HDMI cable bought via eBay cost RM12.00 and it is superb while viewing through TV.......

the case of malfunction do occur here and there, there's always a flaw in every man made product. It applies to all product and devices really .
in case of getting either new toy, do check thoroughly when purchasing the device

wan ask u about eepad transformer...hw is it compared to ipad 2??planning to borrow my lappy to my sis n goin to get a tablet....mainly.using for movie..reading pdf...typing emails n docs...

Well if that the reason you wanna purchas a tablet... i suggest ditch ipad2 and go for TF + Dock... No laptop can fight with 16 hours usage...

for movie, due to some codec limitation currently both also need do convert if u want best playback experience.. however the screen ratio for the TF is more suitable for movies, reading PDF also the screen ratio(longer) would also be better for reading in portrait mode.. typing emails and docs also the keyboard would be a great help if u plan to get it, other wise, u would have more space on landscape also due to the longer screen, that would help to reduce the mistakes

however u just wan facebook + light browsing + angry bird, i would suggest ipad only, for simple usage like this better stick with idiot proof products

Added on July 7, 2011, 1:50 pmbtw about the screen auto light up again after i close the lid... i tried disabling the touch pad, and it really works, it doesnt light up anymore when i close the lid now after i disable, while i try enable back, it will light up

Overall user experience is ipad2 better but if you want to play some free games (stated above) or down to the system level to configure this and that, go for TF or android.
