Build 8.4.4.11
There was an update available when I got my Tf, but I only updated a couple of days later.

well i'm using the same build, no issues here, but try the factory reset anyway.

Can we put the TF to sleep and wake via keystroke rather than pressing the on/off button?

yes by turning off the mobile docking power saving feature in settings > display section you can. but the trade off is of course, your dock battery runs out faster. but i still think the battery life is pretty ok even with that option turned off.

try to set your mobile docking battery saving option in your settings > display section to on, then press the lock key on your dock..then try to press any key to see if it wakes up. If it wakes up means your dock is an earlier design which may need either a replacement or maintenance. Your problem is clearly very bad, could be a major issue on your dock unit. mine is ok so far though
*
Checked ... it will wake up... take back for maintenance?
And i left the tf overnight, next morning.. i checked the battery what has been using...
Wifi off... gps off... screen off... but awake is on... my tf is on at night!!!!

i think keyboard will do, but i think you should bring your TF along to show them the issue, hopefully they can fix it fast though if they're equipped with the knowledge and have the right tools smile.gif

actually, according to this web, if your KB didnt wake up with any key press, you have the older version of the KB. Well it make sense. We want to stop the battery drain, not the wake up feature which I love so much. My KB will wake up with any key press with this update.

http://www.gottabemobile.com/2011/07/21/ho...-battery-drain/

But the xda site mentioned other wise. Hmmmmmm

But I do. Notice the steps given. Press the power button on the pad to sleep. Instead of using the kb sleep button. I need to test it when I go back. Before the recent updates, i remember where I have to unlock it on the screen and even wake it up using the power button on the tab.

Both. When I checked running apps it's not running. Reboot as in off, then on again? Tried already, still cannot @_@

Tried factory reset but unfortunately the pad still shuts down after a few minutes of idle time. Even when I manually put it to sleep, and I can't wake it back up if I do it after a while.

The weird thing is that this doesn't occur when docked on the keyboard.
I feel like updating to 3.2 and see if it's fixed sad.gif

well you have to wait 2 more days before the 3.2 update comes down here unless yours is TW/US model that is..then u can try to update and see if it helps..if not have to send to Asus to repair

try going to your wifi settings > press the menu button on the keyboard dock or on screen (the one that looks like 4 straight horizontal lines) then click advanced.
