QUOTE(hellsphinx @ Jul 10 2011, 12:58 AM) for those whose considering of getting the TF around klang valley, but reluctant to go heavy traffic mall sites, Better to go to those good stores. Heard of many complaints about Evernew ASus outlet which gave crappy service to their customers resulting in consumer tribunal complaints. Better to avoid such issues.you may opt for mines and ioi mall, there are several shops that sells TF there, mines - 2 shops (both facing mobile shops area, one neat sony center and the other in the middle section - IT Comp Sales and Services) ioi mall - 3 shops at digital center (action pc house in the middle, evernew in front, and the other store inline with snooker center) happy hunting This post has been edited by ceras: Jul 10 2011, 01:43 PM |

QUOTE(lek_e30 @ Jul 16 2011, 01:10 AM) wta... where can try this device before i purchase? went to lowyat today, most of them says "sold out" Other than lowyat, digital mall could be the next bet. But try to avoid Evernew outlets due to bad customer service. Too much negative comments about them for comfort. |

QUOTE(CyberKewl @ Jul 18 2011, 10:24 PM) Yea, Evernew really sucks. Unwilling to bear responsibility when there are product issues. My friend actually lodged a consumer tribunal complaint against them. Better buy your unit elsewhere.Added on July 18, 2011, 11:45 pm QUOTE(lek_e30 @ Jul 18 2011, 09:27 PM) thanks for the prompt reply...by the way...may i ask regards the software(android fw update) support from asus is it reliable compare to samsung? i mean last time samsung update is much slower than htc....and i believe now samsung have pick up a lot.... just worry that android update takes like forever from asus...fyi i will not root my android device Asus updates are fast by industry standards....no worriesThis post has been edited by ceras: Jul 18 2011, 11:45 PM |

I can't get "Set DNS" app to recognise that the devise is rooted. I have already rooted based on the xda instructions and have super user status. Anyone know how else to reset the DNS???

The problem with Evernew is that they are the most friendliest to get yo to buy. After that, it is easier dealing with the devil should you run into any problems.....their standard reply.."we are not responsible, we are just resellers..." BEWARE!!!

Anyone rerooted 8.4.4.11? Do you need to unroot and reroot? I can't seem to get the root working on the latest version.

Can we put the TF to sleep and wake via keystroke rather than pressing the on/off button?

QUOTE(halow @ Aug 2 2011, 11:23 PM) Yeah my wife told me why look so yellow caz she use to play around on my previous unit . Really bad luck. Hope it's not from Evernew. They are known to fleece their customers by recycling returned units as new ones.Have to inform asus again on this . Really tiring on sending the unit again n dontknow this time have to wait for how long . No luck using tf101 . |

QUOTE(BBXiong @ Aug 3 2011, 06:20 PM) damn, i hope my replacement is not the new b70 series Anyone tried this? Does it work on 3.2?Added on August 3, 2011, 6:25 pmmeanwhile, for ppl that wants to root and is not b70 batch: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1198303 it's for linux only, but however the developer provides a live cd image, just boot from the cd and root it, cool stuff.. Added on August 3, 2011, 6:31 pmand honestly, i don quite get it, not like rooting actually leads to software piracy like in iOS or symbian(we just need the apk and done lol). in fact, most wonderful backup software needs rooting... i hope the new secure boot key will be exposed fast |
