LOL, they’re launching a refresh on current T490 to 10th gen cometlake, but still selling a 2 gen older T480 at not really a dirt cheap price.

I own both T480 and T480s. Previously also had T450.

Build quality wise both almost the same military spec, only T480s when touch feel superior for the carbon fibre. Way more sleek also
But T480 feel more plastic (rough surface) than T450. I prefer T450 body more.
If you station in office, LAN is very damn important. If mobile, wifi all the way and it looks cooler like that

You are right rough surface when touch on armrest not feels so good.
Actually Carbon body only feel more premium than the rest

I want to give feedback for fingerprint scanner. It sucks. Might just skip it if you have a tight budget

T480 but i think is still the same hardware even with the latest model right

T480 and X1 Carbon 6th fingers scanner are suck, I know.
This years T490, T495 & X395 and P1 Gen 2 very accurate

Recently didn't touch too much on it haha

-14.0" HD (1366x768), TN, 220nits, Anti-glare, No Touch
-14.0" FHD (1920 x 1080), IPS, Anti-Glare, 250nits,No Touch
-14.0" FHD (1920 x 1080), IPS, Anti-Glare, 300nits, Multi-touch
-14.0" FHD (1920x1080), IPS, 400nits, Anti-Glare
-14.0" WQHD (2560x1440), IPS, 500nits, Glare

What difference between these 5? anyone? these type of display will affected battery usage? More nits require more power?
