All Thinkpads look almost the same...

design....i guess.....its a tradition design for ThinkPad series....
even new model wit Lenovo, almost 80% pattern still remain IBM design.....

T61 is my first and never let me down until now... it has the "data security" feature which cannot be found on other brands

2.6kg is about 5.72lb? i thought most midsize laptops are around 5-7lb? anything less is ultraportable (X series), right?

sl400> but the spec is lower, less sturdy casing, glossy screen (i prefer matte screens). really shouldn't be classified as a thinkpad IMO. but thanks for your input

thats a really good deal for shipping. do you think you could give me a run through on the whole thing? ie how u ordered and shipped because i've read on the thinkpad forums regarding international shipping issues. some guy couldn't order because lenovo @ US does not accept international credit cards for payment; and the only way to ship was via FEDex (like you said) or any other logistics (DHL etc). Here's the extract and the link. The first one is a purchaser from Malaysia, the second one from Italy.

it's pretty hard to search through the thinkpads there, so jumbled up

most of the stuff are pretty pricey, but i bookmarked it due to the wide variety of goods

yeah some of the prices are really good. but it's hard to find those who have discrete graphics cards or not since they don't put it in the item title.

When i get my r61 (should be sometime next month), I'll post pics cant wait
