Currently, Cars 2 3D Blu-ray got promotion. $7 discount if you click the promotion bottom in Amazon page before pre-order.  That mean $34.99 - $7 =$27.99, same price as Cars 2 Blu-ray!.  tongue.gif

Now, it is up to you want to pre-order or not or waiting for big price drop.  laugh.gif

P/S: Cars Director Edition also got this promotion.

Big price drop of course tongue.gif

This extended copy is the most clearance and in details copy I ever seen

I am gladly to said I am proud to own this extended blu-ray edition and happily sold of my previous DVD extended copy. wink.gif

Same thing happened to 2 of the latest steelbooks from Amazon UK using standard shipping. wink.gif But no problem for me for parcels from Amazon US since recently, most of my parcels from US is priority shipping. Seem like Customs seldom or never check parcels using priority shipping. hmm.gif

Yeah I think they like to molest standard shipping nowadays. I can't used or afford priority shipping blush.gif and DHL in Penang will asked for FINAS approval before releasing them doh.gif

Just finished watching The Karate Kid (2010)

Movie 4.5/5
PQ 4.5/5

The dialogues are clear (don't have HT set)

My wife and kids love it

Memorable scene

1) The leading female actress, Wenwen Han dancing to Poker Face song......damn hot & sexy

2) Some female practising kung-fu in front of a king cobra

The alternate ending is a lot better than the original

Just entered office after Malaysia vs Liverpool pre-season friendly. It's a great honor to have watched Liverpool in Malaysia for the 1st time in the history. It made no difference from what i've seen in Singapore in 2009. The lads were fantastic, wonderful rendering of You'll Never Walk Alone.

Great game, Malaysia team played their socks off, hats off..i hope this pre-season game comes in to Blu-ray (if Liverpool FC plans to release Season review on Blu-ray) tongue.gif

My complete review of The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy - Extended Edition Blu-ray

user posted image

Proudly getting this gorgeous BestBuy Exclusive Set, and after completing the whole Trilogy, I never regret selling of my previous DVD Extended, LOTR is look gorgeous as ever it can in this Extended Blu-ray edition.

The Fellowship of the Ring
PQ - 4.0 Star
AQ - 5.0 Star
Remark: A lot talk about the green tint issue, for me it looks OK, I believe it is intentional to comply another 2 episode or even the upcoming release of The Hobbit. It is not the greatest but it give me the whole better experience as I feel the new color is more appealing to the film itself after finish watching it.

The Two Towers
PQ - 4.5 Star
AQ - 5.0 Star
Remark: PO is absolutely better than the 1st episode, compare with 3rd episode, it stand in between.

The Return of the King
PQ - 5.0 Star
AQ - 5.0 Star
Remakr: PQ is among the best for this Extended Edition Trilogy set.

In overall, highly recommended if you love LOTR EE, the splitting to two disc for every episode is the right choice to maintain such high in PQ & AQ. The only drawback is, it could be better if the Extra had been remastered to HD quality and loading in Blu-ray instead of the same source from the previous release DVD edition.

Overall Rating:
The Film: 5.0 Star
PQ: 4.5 Star
AQ: 5.0 Star
Extra: 4.0 Star

Tron original review

well, film cameras of course has higher resolution than fullHD, but being the first computer animated (well, many parts of "half" computer animated), u'll see "picture noise" in the animation, it's like upscaled DVD9, no difference. of course the non-animated part is sharp and nice, but those parts are like, maybe just 15-20 minutes.

so, bluray not really worth it for tron original

i think i have watched the dvd over 10 times, addicted to it

Yep, you need to install Cyberlink PowerDVD which supports Blu-ray disc playback. Find the *ahem* version and there will be tweaking tools included with the installer. Version 11 does not come with tweaks, Ver10 has tweaking tools, it will overide your registry value for unlimited Blu-ray region. Alternatively, you can even change the value manually. I can't recall how to change it manually. Give me sometime, will update you later..
