Wow, already V.13... bravo!! rclxms.gif

Just to share: watched Transformers: DSotM last night and like most comment here who have seen it - it's a "so-so" flick only, not a "wOw" fantastic nor a bad one. Can't expect anything more surely especially on the story/plot department but they've certainly pushed the envelope on the CGI!! (the efx save the movie for me...)

I don't get the jaw-dropping or raise-my-bulu-roma type of scene anymore laugh.gif But overall a decent summer blockbuster to watch. Maybe it's because I went to a sh*tty cinema without any THX-equipped audio & small screen sumore (all the big-hall cinemas full house tongue.gif ).

For me a 3.5 out of 5 only (same wif Andrew, if not mistaken) but the blu-ray version will definitely be in my shoplist nevertheless.... rclxms.gif

bro amazon UK is really much cheaper than US. I had compared every titles. Although there are some Region free. Only just select carefully...
Another things, the shipment delivery is pretty fast. I placed an order on 3 July. Today at 11 July received. Earlier than they estimated...
If from US, I dont think you can get it so fast, am I right?
*
dats true, uk is much cheaper & faster delivery but i just personally dont fancy uk release; not only because of region issue. the thick casing & nippled cover doesn't help either... in comparison between both regions av quality, they're more or less. so, to each their own i guess... smile.gif

btw before i-parcel, my u.s. amazon std shipping delivery record was 6 days! nod.gif

Plus, another issue with UK releases, for some, are the ratings logos from BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) and IFCO (Irish Film Censors Office) appearing on the front cover art, and even on the spine of the packaging.

US releases only have the ratings indicated at the back, as they are voluntary and not legally required for distribution, unlike in the UK and Australia. German releases also have the ratings on the front but French releases usually don't.
*
haha dats right. i knew u were not familiar yet with the terms here... the ratings logo thingy i already mentioned in my post; it's also known as nipple on the cover nod.gif

Although it is voluntary for filmmaker to decide whether want to submit film for rating or not, but for theatrical release in US, unless filmmaker only intend to show his/her film in very limited theaters, otherwise their have to send their film to MPAA for rating.

talking about ratings in home video format, does the parental lock feature on players still applicable in this day & age when the minors seemed more tech-savvy & know how to work around or overide it than the parents? tongue.gif

Talking about rated, unrated, extended cut, director's cut... wow, usually these versions are the preferred ones to the theatrical. Only one movie that i dont quite like the director's cut... Mel Gibson's Payback. I prefer the former cut (editing), cinematography mood & the main villain! nod.gif

Slipcovers eh? I don't really mind if there's no slipcover but as long as there are no short of information regarding the movie and/or the technical features.

For instance: if the movie synopsis, filmmakers credit and blu-ray technical specs also appear on the backcover casing, then it's ok for me. If otherwise, then it's a no-no... like G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra, there's no info on the backcover... and my order came without slipcover! rclxub.gif

for me not so much looking ugly aesthetically, but putting 2 different format on either side of the same disc is already a 'turn-off'!!! doh.gif

** My cabinet is FULL! is time for me sourcing a new bigger cabinet...
*
Wow... nice & neat collection! notworthy.gif

But i bet you need some dustin', wiping & cleaning of dusts especially since your cabinet is not covered. shakehead.gif For me, I think you don't need plastic covers as it may not look very nice (visually that is...) & quite a hassle if you want to watch something...

I'd recommend a glass-door cabinet - a custom-made one for you in this case!! At least you don't really need to upkeep (aka cleanin' & dustin') too often... nod.gif
