For me, i will refuel around 550km, when the indicator lights flashing after the last bar... It rely heavily on your right root! 9~10km /liter on city, 13~14km / liter on highway (cruising @ 110km/h, and limit daredevil style, maybe for awhile)

thanks that's pretty good and looks tempting enough to had my old junk replaced drool.gif

I got the same problem when i press brake in D mode it jerks awhile feels as if its downshifting. Im not sure if its normal anot.... gues i should ask my SA.
*
Yeah, i feel the jerking only when i brake to come to a full stop sometimes. But normal driving, slowing down, there is no jerking. Is that what qmeng experienced?

I think it depends on how the way u press your brake. I brake slowly and smoothly most of the time that's why i feel the jerk... if you press hard on your brake u wont feel the jerk... lol emm not mentality la ... actually cars i driven only this car jerks when braking. ><
*
Actually, a lot of cars even worst...vibrating some more when braking! tongue.gif I brake slowly too, but don't feel jerk, only when comes to full stop SOMETIMEs will have a jerk.

It does, initially... as the INVECS and CVT is trying to decide what is happening to the car... its not a HUGE jerk, but you do feel some unevenness in the gears downshifting....

It does go away after a period of time, after the INVECS "learns" your driving habits and patterns.... but mind you, it does return esp if there are more than one driver (with different habits) driving the car....

The beast has learnt my driving habits... heh heh...

THIS is not COMMON if you SLOWING DOWN and in "D" mode. If u STOPPING and push the gear to "N" jerking will appear. but not JERKING too long.. mostly few seconds..

upshifting sure no need mention la.. sure ok

so when u have time.. sent to SC and check.

hmmmm..it is in "D" mode .....

i did a detail inspection on my car just now ... (just had my car few days ago), and seriously i m very disaapointed with the workmanship of proton.

i m very sure the front suspension has got some problem, when i drive over a speed bump (at low speed of course) it gives me a "klik klak" sound, thts 1

2nd, the roof... the cushion of the roof was so poorly assembled... it didnt completely seal off into the rubber at the edge near the window... i can easily slid 4 of my fingers in it....

it is bcos of proton or my always bad luck ?? sad.gif

Please elaborate more on what you find. For the front absorbers its because of a tight rubber and occurs after parking it for a while (cooled down), sound goes away when it expand after some driving. After few weeks or months the sound disappears.

For the roof, its the same for all even lancers. I recently tested nissan teena also the same case, fingers can slid easily into those area both front and back. Think it was designed this way for some cars, dun ask me why.

Other than suspension others are quite minor considering other problems you may get from the famous T & H brands... I used to drive a waja, full of issues? Maybe but the driving experience and the superb handling supercedes everything else... same goes to this car, the beauty of the driving experience and power delivery supercedes all the minor issues you will find. After all there is no perfect car. Not to mention value for money... Its the same a black dot on the whiteboard... what do u see? The dot most of the time and miss seeing the whiteboard...

Usually the suspension sound only first time in the morning..or end of the day after your parked the car whole day, after that no more after the first bump. If you get repeated sound EVERYTIME, then somthing is wrong with yours.

As for the roof...i never look at the roof....as long no water leaking, i no give freak about roof. Maybe i check later.

This happens in my Waja (4G18) also and i believe all Wajas. When almost to a stop, there's a slight jerk as it goes into 1st gear, I presume. As the Waja is using INVECS II, probably the jerk is inherent to the INVECS software. I've been using the Waja for the past 6 years...no problem with the gearbox so far.

I remember reading somewhere that the Honda Civic has the same jerk as the car comes almost to a stop. Maybe Civic owners can verify this ? hmm.gif

The jerking thing is not really a jerk..its only that you can feel the gears downshifting... it happens especially when ur going fast and brake like immediately... i think it needs time to downshift too... though i've felt it..i think its not that big of a deal...

BUT...

u're the first to agree with me on this... my suspension also have that sound... it's not the sound that worries me..it feels like the suspension is loose... hence the klik klak sound.. like some thing loose lah..u shake and it rattles... it's not just in the morning..but everytime i go up bumpers... by the way..complained twice (1st and second service)... nothing done... Test properly on bumpers...go fast and feel the rear too... i think all 4 of my absorbers have that prob.. when i bring 4 passengers and go up bumpers, i can feel like the absorbers klik klak....

The nyek nyek sound still persists.... dunno what to do... i'll try opera33's method and see how...

Which SC and mechanic? But i doubt it's a permanent solution. Like my Savvy clutch, got annoying sound, spray WD40 and it gets better for a while.

Yeah.. used to it, think its not there already. Those minor stuff dun seem to interfere with my enjoyment with the ride now. Lovin it... hehe... If we are too critical over every small darn sound or issue (our senses become more sensitive when it comes to proton but thinks its ok when its brand T or H), then we will be forever dissatisfied person.

I'm not a proton lover but I think this is a darn good car... and paying rm30K less than the cbu version.

Maybe all the suspension bolts and nuts just needs to be tightened. Bushes making noise has been there since the days of the Waja. I had all kinds of sounds in my Waja....ngek-ngek, klik-klok, thaang etc. Sometimes just tightening things up will make it disappear. And i suppose the quality of the bushes is questionable too.

I just hope my soon to arrive Plum Red won't be as bad as the Waja. My third Proton tongue.gif

It's amazing how Proton still has issues with suspension noise.
