QUOTE(stix @ Jul 26 2012, 12:15 PM) your reasoning is cheap but shitty car still alot of buyers. exclusive and luxury car not enough buyers. yes, that is why not surprise Camry which previously earn the owner heart of reliable and comfort.but.. but.. camry is not that cheap either at 160k and above yet 1000+ buyers for last month They might thought Camry current is even better or so. Another minor reason customer buy camry is the toyota capital facility. Usually were businessman who like to use as company payment wise like housing is diff compare conventional loan. As you know of, 160k+ is not cheap car yet still affordable. the figure of 1000+ just a norm phenomena for car launching. you have to see the next 3 months for it. nothing I against with. I just want you all know that in every product there's a plus and a minus. People who select it will need to live with it. There's no 100% car in the world. |

At the bottom five are Mercedes-Benz, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Porsche and Land Rover. The top five most reliable models are Kia Picanto, Vauxhall Agila, Honda HR-V, Suzuki Alto and Ford Fiesta. The five least reliable cars are Ford Mondeo, BMW 3-series, VW Golf, Citroen Xsara, VW Caravelle and smart fortwo. QUOTE(landlily98 @ Jul 28 2012, 03:21 AM) Bro, with regards to all the negative comments that you received, please don't feel frustrated, you had bought yourself a very good car and you should enjoy every moment you spent with her. Despite all the praises Mondeo receives, you will still see at the end of the day, only very few buyers will buy one, talking big and loud here is easy, how many actually dares to commit him/herself to buy a Mondeo? Besides, Mondeo's price is not that much higher than Camry 2.5's price, and with all the extra goodies Mondeo offer, it should attract many hardcore fans. Is this happening? I leave it to you to judge.....What you had bought gives you peace of mind, so, relax and happy motoring. pipu like this. I also like this. tok this car good that car no good. then at the end buy either T or local car pipu ask me wai. I tot I sked rugi resell value and sked no spare part Great car in oversea doesn't mean is good here since local people looking not just the car but also after sales and services. Alot ppl suffering for those bad SSC most of the brand except T & H or so. No wonder they could built the repo on malaysia. Can't blame the carmaker. just blame to malaysia automotive policy given to those bloodsuking businessman to monopolize. |

QUOTE(zweimmk @ Jul 30 2012, 08:14 AM) I'm actually okay with the 3 series and the A4. I'm was particularly impressed with the new 3 series in terms of leg room especially since it's still a C-segment. The 320d was functional but the 328i was the car to get IMO. Anyway, gave up on them since I can't pay either cars off in 5 years no matter how I punch the numbers and I no longer wanted to wait. Now that I look back, should I have waited for the government to announce the changes to the NAP? I like the F30 also but must wait another 4-5 years also |

QUOTE(zweimmk @ Jul 30 2012, 09:22 AM) I dump most of my money into stocks, prefer to invest that way. Every month also dump some amount that way and over time it adds up. Besides a lot of things can happen in the next 5 years, let alone 7 or 9 years. For cars, 5 years is the max I'll ever go. Anyway, already bought and got the VW Passat so as far as car is concerned, I won't be changing cars in the next 4 years unless I strike 4D or something. LOL! Added on July 30, 2012, 2:24 pm I won't look at the F30 already in 4 to 5 years. In 4 years time, the new W205 C class will be out to replace the current W204. Cars will only continue to get better as time goes on, except Toyota in S.E.Asia. They're moving backwards instead of moving forwards. now my aim 4-5 year is F30. see that time got new better model or not |

QUOTE(jchong @ Jul 30 2012, 10:07 AM) From Wiki: Yes, life cycle is around 6-8 years. E21, First generation, 1975–1983 E30, Second generation, 1982–1991 E36, Third generation, 1990–1999 E46, Fourth generation, 1998-2006 E90, Fifth generation, 2005–2012 F30, Sixth generation, 2012 Looks like each generation lasts about 8 years on average. So in 4-5 years time probably still F30. |

QUOTE(jchong @ Jul 30 2012, 10:41 AM) I think it's only this current Camry that has been criticised for moving backwards. Other current models not affected right? (I'm not sure coz I haven't looked into the others). So it might be unfair to label the whole Toyota company for regressing in SEA. Anyway, let's hope they don't repeat this and hope the future model specs will be better. How dugong? for Least I think worth to buy in toyota was Hybrid or 4x4. toyota hilux always impress me. |

QUOTE(zweimmk @ Jul 30 2012, 11:46 AM) I would also do as much research as you if I was buying a KIA/Hyundai myself. And I kind of have while shopping for our 2nd car, I like the Elantra and Forte a lot actually but wife was not comfortable going Korean so have to respect her decision. Previously I doing ALOT research..... too much research until ...... from buying a Honda Accord till 2nd Proton IswaraNever test any car 9 times but definitely tested driving the Forte a total of 4 times at 4 different showrooms. Kind of pity the salesman though, push the car so hard but still can't convince my wife to buy thats why sometimes, just do abit research and follow your heart. why so bother about the best you can get while you will change the car within a certain period of time. Like house then diff. |

QUOTE(kepalapening @ Jul 31 2012, 10:05 AM) I am sorry to hear that your gauge is not working right. Naza Ria SE (2005) My XV50, for 100% highway, FC ~ 14km/L consistent with the gauge. I've not calculated for city yet. But, I think it's roughly around 9.5-10km/L. I had enough of Korean car. P1 is cheaper and better. I feel you bro |

I looking forward another 5-7years later in this thread.
Then I know the result when I see who complaint 1st. Now all nonsense about talking know well about new car. Any new product sure got mention good and best of their product. But we only the reliability when we use it after sometimes. Reliability - who masuk bengkel more Safety - Ratio of accident /total local number Resell value - after 2 years you will know how is the value. FC - you all will know after hitting 50k km. you can lie to anyone. But sooner every forumer will mention the FC since not you only who use same type of car. |

QUOTE(K5WHITE @ Aug 3 2012, 05:07 AM) 7 years down the road, and still maintain close to 65% of new price. Obscene, considering hilux are meant for rough driving(jungles, construction bumpy roads), and buying 2nd car will incur higher interest than new car. I should say is Trust instead of love.M'sian ppl just love TOYOTA If you know the headache of repair car then you know why alot ppl prefer reliable car |
