Ok, thank you very much!  smile.gif  You helped me a lot here =) Just 1 more question, I only have to plug in the amp to the audio port then plug my headphones in right? Any other things i should worry about?

tmuso is a desktop dac, plug the USB in, and stereo jack out, with built in pre-amp, you got every blessing of every penny your money from it, no need to think about amp anymore cool.gif

I've asked before in another thread, but can't hurt to ask again. biggrin.gif

Source : desktop (mobo = MSI P55-GD80 with onboard soundcard)
Equipment : ATH M50 (burned in w/ roughly 60 hrs)
Requirement : desktop amp+dac (will consider buying amp and DAC seperately if reasonably justified), looking for some extra bass since my M50 is abit weak on it, and some enhanced mids and wider soundstage (I listen mostly to jpop/rock)
Budget : RM500 - 800

I've considered the Maverick D1, since its pretty multi-functional, and I heard tube amps work really well with AT headphones. Any other recommendations? hmm.gif

just say that i'd get the e17 anyways coz i think occasionally id use it with my pc as well, will the bass improvements on the e17 be a whole lot better than those on the e11?
*
With the FiiO E17, there is an improvement on both the mids and highs over the E11

hi guys,

Need your opinion if i need an amp for my source and headphones: My phone mainly(Samsung S2) + ATH WS55

Is it worth getting FIIO E11 for them or i just use them as it is? my objective is to get the best out of my WS55

Kinda confused, still a newbie in audiophile world, hope the sifus here can enlighten me.

Thx

Yeah, I was initially thinking of getting the Maverick D1 cos of the high versatility + mod potential.
Looks like Jaben only stocks it, but they run out of stock atm, and they have no idea when they'll restock, sad cry.gif

Though of ordering through their Maverick website, but they only accept paypal. Sigh, anyone with paypal wanna help me? brows.gif

Yup, I'm sure it's abit more expensive, but they throw in a free NOS tube upgrade for my D1 if I order from them.
When I asked Jaben via email they're not sure if theirs have the upgraded NOS tubes. hmm.gif
So yeah, I was thinking, if I can have the tube upgrade, I wouldn't mind buying from the manufacturer's website.

the tube aint free, it adds UD20 which is roughly RM60+, so they are selling some New Old Stock tubes to you, not free
D1- USD199
D1 with NOS - USD 219
