D12 is for my macbook air and E11 is for my iphone. I bought them because they are the cheapest...

For the iphone (Fiio E11), I paired with Beat Tour (with mic) only found out later that the mic won't work with amp. sad.gif

For macbook air (Ibasso D12), I pair with Beats Pro.

A friend recommended Monsters Beat since I'm not really an audiophile.

Using Fiio L3 Cable. Originally using L9 ("L" shape") but I found it will get in the way of the headphone "out".

Hi guys.

I was looking at the Maverick TubeMagic D1 and was thinking of getting it.
I want to ask about the connection on the back as I'm not really sure doh.gif

If i want to connect the DAC to my amp, which analog output do i use?
What is the use of the analog input when this is a D-A-C ? Is it used for the 'Headphone Out' ?

Thanks in advance rclxms.gif

I will leave the question for the others since i have yet to try proper desktop amp like this. Just a suggestion, u might want to wait for the upcoming D2, i heard it's coming out pretty soon.

Actually you can refer at their website. Headphone out is at the front, the outputs at the back are to connect to either amp or speaker.
There are two different outputs, one is solid state out and another is tube pre-amp out. So it depends on you, which output's sound would suit your taste/preference better.

As for the analog input at the back, I've no idea about it as well.

analogue input is for use when you want to connect something like a CDP and to make use of the amp section of the D1 only.

Been a while since I've been here! Too much poison going around for my wallet to like laugh.gif

Anyways, I lost my cmoy, canare's and...a lot of stuff *silent tears*

So, I'm currently using an E5 coupled with my phone...with various outputs. Depending on where I am and what mood I'm in.

So, anyway, I was browsing through the garage sales, and saw the E6.

How good is this btw?

Haven't done any googling just yet - thought I'd get impressions from someone closer to home first.

TIA! biggrin.gif

Edit: What happened to all the taikors? Alamaklor, PCworks, eokboy, walabies etc etc.

Edit 2: Another question - Who do I look for to re-cable and repair plugs nowadays? Oh, and cmoys, anyone still make them?

E6 is a good improvement over E5, honestly i prefer E6 more than E11

as for the taikors, some of them are still around, and there's few of us still doing recabling job
and as for cmoy, its rare to see any nowadays after bro Calmshot stop bringing them in

Ello guys, newbie here trying to find good match of DAC and AMP for better music experiences.

Well, here's the list:
Source : Laptop

Equipment : Creative SB 5.1 External + IEM (Brainwavz M4), for headphone, let's just say I'm not really using any now.

Requirement : For Musics, Highly prefer clear and detail vocal as I listen mostly to pop or slow songs. Perhaps, musical too.

Budget : RM200-400

What I had in mind now, is buying a DAC (T-muso OScon) and currently finding one AMP to pair up with. What you guys think, should I get the DAC? or There's other DAC/AMP that suits my musical preferences.

Thanks.

Erm, it's FiiO E10 USB DAC Headphone Amplifier, it's already DAC + AMP or AMP only?
Really new here. biggrin.gif
