Actually I was real interested on Fiio E10 but when I read this guy review I think I need to rethink things smile.gif

http://nwavguy.blogspot.com/2012/01/fiio-e10-dac.html

Where he mentioned
SUBJECTIVE SOUND QUALITY: The E10 sounded fine with the headphones I tried. Playing some really wide dynamic range music with my Sennheiser HD650s it seemed to clip on the peaks when I pushed it fairly loud in high gain mode. With my very sensitive Ultimate Ears Super Fi Pro IEMs I could hear some hiss even at low gain but it wasn’t objectionable. I also noticed some channel balance error at low volumes with the Super Fi IEMs. I didn’t much like the bass boost with any of my headphones as it mucked up the lower midrange and vocals. It was also very “boomy”.

so what you think? hmm.gif As casual user will I notice the problem mentioned here.... what worried me is especially on the part on low level listening since I usually listen thru my headphone at low level..

So maybe E10 user can share some experience on these part smile.gif cool.gif thanks

I can't say anything about E10, cos I use it for line out only. Amp part done by CMOY.

The E10 was never designed to drive the HD650. The USB power supply doesn't gives it enough raw power to drive the likes of HD650, Q/K701.

Never had problem with both the hiss and balance issues.

Hey thanks for the input... I realize HD650 is rated at 300Ohm 103db sensitivity...so to your knowledge Fiio E10 is best match for what level of Impedance? hmm.gif

Thanks for the input guys much appreciate it smile.gif

so now, how is the Fiio E10 DAC part compared to T-muso in SQ smile.gif

It's say Suitable Headphone Impedance: 16Ω~300Ω
but I would say never go for maximum ohm cos that like pushing E10 to do maximum output.

Same like your PC, try to open so many application until your CPU always 100%, see what happen.

neutral dac eh, my future plan for AD series (especially after i got my hands on AD900) is something like HRT MusicStreamerII (not available locally) tongue.gif

i tried DACPortLX today, and i do find this dac can get quite hot even in idle, but i doubt this heat could fry the board hmm.gif

Erm, guys I got a question. My Shure SE215 on D-Zero and my Hippo Box+ appears to have hissing on high gain. Low gain also have but not noticeable. So what does this means? hmm.gif

The fact remains that your source is digital and don't think there is a portable amp (with battery) with tube.

hissing might be due to the gain on the box+ is too high (since you notice it even on the low gain, iem too sensitive) or because the amp is noisy due to poor power or PSU issue.
