Clear top just means the flash getter is at the bottom than the usual top. As you study tubes, you will realize that there are a lot of differences between the same tube series of the same brand. Different year, different plate, different factories mans the tubes can all sound different.

Tested range is just to make you feel better. The higher the number means the longer the remaining life span of the tube is. But tested strong doesn't mean it won't die suddenly without explanation.

so in simpler explanation, no need to be so concerned on the gimmicks?

i had do a lot searching in this range, found out got many choose in ebay and Amazon,
specially the Chinese make DAC amp, most of them are look pretty decent quality, but, dont know how about the sound quality ?

jaben punya tube amp sibeh expensive, hongrui's TTD too, so no choice

The tests / readings, yes. But a clear top tube will sound different from a regular tube of the same brand.


IMO, you can consider upgrading your iem too. even if you do get a CLAS, the extra resolution is still limited by the performance of your se215.

Has anyone tried schiit asgard and bifrost combo? Would love to audition it with hd 650.
