Bypassing internal DAC is only possible with apple devices currently.
1. PC and media monkey volume should be max-ed out. then use only the volume control on TTD to adjust accordingly.

Alright, will try this and will post if this will fix the problem

2. regarding popping / screeching sound - are you using mp3 or lossless? do you get this sound when there is no music playing?
*
Im using FLAC file, it count as lossless right? and yup i got pop sound even when booting my pc >.<

QUOTE(hongrui @ Jan 25 2012, 08:37 PM)
3. your beyer and ttd are still very new, you need about 500hrs run in for the beyer dt880 (200hrs should smoothen out the treble already). TTD needs about 250hrs, the tube need about 100-150hrs of run in.
*
Yeah i know about that, but will the burn in fix that pop, 'krack' sound?

You connected you amp from pc using RCA cable, that pop coming from your pc sound card.

Why not get usb cable and use the Amp/DAC properly. FLAC is lossless but that doesn't mean no pop/crack sound.

The D/A chip used in the Tiny Tube is a relatively unknown UAC3553B 24/48 USB Audio DAC chip from the Zurich based semiconductor manufacturer Micronas. Analog data signal from the Micronas UAC3553B is then passed on to the 12AT7 twin triode tube, which is then passed on to the popular TPA6120 amplifier chip and out to the headphone sockets.

One of forumer here also having pop/crack with his DAC, after change to shorter USB cable, all gone.

Are u using Windows Vista? I remember last time when I was using Vista I got that sort of popping sound too and it annoyed the hell outta me. After some googling I found out that alot of Vista's users suffer from that problem too when they are using external DAC. Fixed the problem after i changed to Windows 7.

Tiny Tube DAC (TTD) v2 - RM700

Specs:
Head Amp: Texas Instrument TPA6120 chip
USB Receive: Tenor TE7022L
DAC Chip: Cirrus Logic CS4398
Tube: Shugang Psvane Series 12AT7-T

Together, TTD v2 offer superior resolution and great separation for your music with great bass depth and bigger soundstage.  The new DAC Chip combo provides a ton of upgrade in terms of sound presentation as it now accepts 24bit 96kHz via USB, over the old Micronas Dac chip of the version 1, which only did 24 bit 48 kHz. It is able to drive 32-300ohms Headphones and IEMs without any hiss and with relative and satisfaction – We have personally tried a Beyerdynamic DT880/600 and a Beyerdynamic T1 but unfortunately it is just not able to fully showcase the headphones.

Kambing69, what is your setup exactly? and you hear the screeching / popping sounds even during startup? I myself am running on Vista and Win7 and i don't have any issues on either OS.

Are you using USB or RCA to connect between your PC and TTD?

what iem & source are you using?
i would suggest the cmoy or the mini^3, both are DIY amps.

Hi,I'm new in this field.I would like to ask opinion about DAC for my speaker system.Currently using Govibe USB DAC for my speaker system, which consist of Sony F245R integrated amplifier and Jamo Cornet 40 IV bookshelf speaker.I know my DAC is limiting the full potential of the speaker,my budget is around RM300-500.Maybe will go higher if needed, but preferably below RM500.

Are you sure?I'm doubting Fiio product since I tried E11.Too dark sounding for my taste.

I tried E10 already, sadly, its not my cup of tea.Maybe looking for another alternative, perhaps going to hunt for 2nd hand desktop DAC.

E11 is the amp, you need the DAC of the E10. Very different animals.

FiiO E10 nod.gif You can either use the DAC out from the E10 to your GoVibe or replace it completely and sell the GoVibe to fund something else nod.gif

eh, i dunno, ask clieOS on that, i only know that cMoyBB i do have, and sounds decent enough, no overwhelming bass though, my "like" point.. opamp roll roll roll

I’ll have to say ZO2.3 is right between an FiiO E6 and a JDS Labs cmoyBB (probably much closer to the later) and  not nearly as good as FiiO E11
