Hi All,

I am new to this forum.

Any good place for wild haruans in Selangor?

My gang and I are finding it hard to find good size haruans... most of the ones we have C&R are below 1kg. sad.gif

both SN2500FD and RD's max drag is around 7lb or 3kg. While for SN4000FD is 13lb and RD is 12lb.

Be sure to get the latest Sienna model which has "SN" on the front because newer models has higher max drag.

With SN-> http://www.shimano.com/publish/content/glo...ing/Sienna.html

With NO SN -> http://fish.shimano.com.sg/publish/content.../Sienna_FD.html

I am getting the 2500 model.

Is there advantage or disadvantage in using Front Drag and Read Drag ? or it is just a matter of preference ?

RD usually associated with fresh water fishing where drag setting can be tighten fast in short time while FD usually turns slower. You can see that seawater reels does not have RD models. One can only assume more aggressive fishing games are not suitable for RD reels.

Dun only see drag la, there are some other criterias to consider ma. The material used to build the pinion and the gears, the amount and quality of ball bearings, the spool capasity, the technology applied, the weight. Overall i think artica is not worse than sienna lo

arctica lo kepong tackle selling arctica3000 rm 192.00 , arctica4000 rm198.00
personally think arctica3000 would be perfect with 20-30lbs braided for freshwater.and theres goes ur rm250 just nice along with the braided.
or mayb u can go loon fatt tackle in sri sentosa kuchai lama coz they're selling loose braided,and its cheaper than u buy a pack.

arctica seems a decent choice. if not mistaken, there's a new shop in scott garden, old klang road, selling at a much cheaper price though, last i asked, around 160. btw i found this website http://www.nafa.com.au/review/show/691.html arctica II, is it the same reel or a new version? which is better?
i prefer mono line though braided is stronger no doubt, perhaps u can explain other advantages of braided over mono?

mmm..im not sure scott garden has a new shop.but if im not mistaken rm 198 was the cheapest i've surveyed.im using arctica also tongue.gif
btw.i failed myself for not checking the new arctica II rclxub.gif
by comparing both specs thru d internets if im not wrong its almost the same specs arctica II is just slightly lighter.
how bout shimano?daiwa price range is prolly rm 100++ then jump rm 300++
