gamakatsu hooks or watever, i think I haven't seen them at my place here in Sabah
But did get some Berkley hooks, only used few so not sure yet
the chapalang hooks i get will get blunt after some times of use
will be eyeing for these gamakatsu hooks, how much usually for 10 pcs of these size 4 to 6 hooks?
my berkley here cost me more than RM5 already for around 14 pcs if i recall correctly

Gamakatsu hooks normally dont come in 10's. They come in around 5 to 8 pieces.
For Gamakatsu Octopus hooks its around RM6 for 8 pieces.

gamakatsu hahahah they are still around these are chemically sharpened hooks.....red I think I use to use them good for river fishing, sea fishing if I recall they 'rust' dunno if thats the case now.....very sharp however also quite 'brittle'......my experience...

Gamakatsu got high carbon and also stainless steel. They have quite a selection of hooks. Another good brand would be Owner hooks.

10's also got 1 depends on the size.
for those jig hooks i think most of them are stainless steel hooks.
indeed they're expensive.

Gamakatsu's also have 'Economy' packs(green color) where in each packet there are 25 pieces of hooks for around RM12.

btw, for deep sea fishing someone told me august this month is the last time to go out before the year end moonsoon hits

anyone can tell a good time, which month in the year is good for deep sea water fishing?

So far, my seahawk high carbon daichi or smtg like that never failed me yet. If I'm not mistaken it's 50cent per hook. Lol.

i kena hook straight b4 by using seahawk hook..but dunno which pack la.
by remembering fishing mekong at tronoh fight for 15mins,then suddenly the hook snapped.
mayb wasnt lucky dat time choose the wrong pack of hooks.

heh, i only have 2 packets of gamakatsu and a packet of Owner and dont use them unless necessary.
Im using a RM2/packet of ten hooks which im not sure the brand and Viva Rm4/box of 100 hooks lol tongue.gif

im using china made hooks
rm2 for a box of it, i think it's more than 30 hooks inside it
so far only one time when my fren used it, it snapped
other times so far none yet, bended yes smile.gif

My favourite hooks are fire eagle hooks which added carbon, never had I ever snap any (prolly also because I never got bigger fish or my leader snaps first before the hook did)

yeap should be the same, no branding or whatever one
just the transparent plastic box with the hooks inside, and a lot too
yeah no kidding rm2 per box
cos that shop sells mostly china made stuff one, even got sell reel made in china, 10 b-bearings with just around rm40-rm60 for sizes ranging 3000 to 5000
of course i didn't get those reels lah hehe

Hehe, I don't pay too much attention to the rods. I always buy cheap cheap rods about RM50. To me any rods can use for any occasion.
