QUOTE(praetorian @ Jul 28 2011, 07:52 PM)
Hi everyone......
Its been a while since I have been deep sea fishing, normally fish at jetty in Tawau, however I have been given a chance to fish for tuna or some big fishes  in 200M of water, by poor ABU is not up to the task hahahaha only around maybe 6-10KG of drag with carbontex drag washers with Cal's grease.....anyway to cut a long story short....I am looking for Shimano reels, especially the Shimano Talica II hmmmmmm may be I can get away with  the 12 or 16.....or 20 max....... though I prefer a smaller reel, as I can prolly use it for bottom, light jigging....does anyone know of a reputable store that has a online website?

Does anyone know what the going rate for the Talica II are going for? I THINK if this trip after Raya is successful....I may go out every 2 weeks or may be once a month depend on sea/weather and off course $$$$ lah.....

I am not that new to fishing , but its been a while since the 'burning passion' has been ignited lol, hope someone can help, thanks in advance!

got get talica ! I had a talica 16 ( single speed) it's awesome I love it !! tongue.gif
for talica two speed series, I think you might need to check it out urself first ler, it's anti-reverse mechanisme were like those old skool reel where there's some back play, i dont like those feeling that's what make me get the single speed version tongue.gif

Hi, I am new here. Considered a newbie in fishing and is trying to find some fishing kakis around KL/ PJ paypond. Find me in facebook if you are interested. I am free Wed/Thu/Fri 24hrs biggrin.gif

Was previously fishing at Sri Petaling paypond until they close then I quit fishing and now I am back into this addictive hobby.

I saw this paypond when i read Rod and Line magazine just now. Its a freshwater pond and its located quite near KL. Im not sure about the name of the pond but the fees are RM50/hour and there are many exotic species in the pond like mekong, red tail catfish etc. You need to buy the fishes if you want too and some species are not for sale.

RM 50 per hour?? That's so expensive, some more its a catch & release pond. That price i think u can fish in klang sealion vip pond with half the price n the fish to be brought back. Some more jackpot also.

I think its very expensive too but you're allowed to use lures there(with single hooks only) and the fishing pond is as large as a football field.

A cutting from the magazine Rod & Line regarding a new fresh water pond with giant exotic fish.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

sorry if the picture is too small or too blur. This is the pond ( I think ) that we were discussing, the RM50 per hour pond!
It's located in Natural Exotic Fish Fishing Pond, Lot 13, Batu 23, Jalan Batu Arang, Kg Sungai Bakau, Rawang

So if anyone going, please let us know how's the results ya? As for myself, I think it's too expensive

Yes, that's the pond i was mentioning.
They apparently want to make something like Bungsamran in Thailand but i have a feeling it wont really work.

yeah more like for VIP to go fishing there with that price aiyo
I found new lubang to fish at my place, it's more like beside the sangkar ikan.. but still didn't get big size fish yet

the place is quite quiet, with really less boat coming in and out of the river and best of all.. not much sangkut! I always lose my weight if at the old place...

but since my body is big,, this new place bit shaky for me cos the walkway u know lah, for sangkar ikan one smile.gif
