Yup. Ul setup to play with the Pb in sj lake. My paired reel is making the setup slightly heavier than I would have preferred but it gives me some versatility as well. It's a 2500 series reel.

You can never go wrong with a major craft rod.. I just love jdm products. Haha..

most of red hot's second hand products are actually sourced in japan so basically its imported just that its not new.

If you wanna get new megabass products you can go to the ss4 tackle shop but i forgot what is the name addi. they are doing a promo for their heavier poundage major craft slicer 2 weeks back when i was there. Normal price for 8-14lbs is going for 400 plus while those promo ones are just around 350-ish.

Btw any affordable (preferrably less than 400) bc reels that is less than 200g to intro?

Must be brand new? Lefty? or anything goes?
Must be branded? Bannax / Ryobi / Seahawk can ?

my patriach is 8oz and i find it heavy or maybe coz it was a 7.1:1 ratio and i was pratically cranking crank baits with it and that made me felt heavy.

Being at 8oz, perhaps you may want to match the reel with a fast tapered rod. Perhaps 70:30 type. It would feel stronger and robust.

What hook size to match up ?

Grub's body(without tail) is 3cm

i've searched and the cheapest is 520 and i saw another revo elite GB for 300 plus but i think the condition is quite bad coz i can see obvious scratches on the reel even on such low res pix.

are those sp sample pack? i only saw 1 in each pack.
